Originally developed as
a light unarmed scout, the Israel Spacecraft Industries C-91GX "Pyro-GX"
was subsequently turned into a first medium, and then heavy intruder fighter
ship. PTMC's Samuel Dravis rumoured to be after the first illegal modifications
of the fighter by artisan technicians, modifying and "tuning" Pyro-GX ships
soon became a matter of habit.
The Pyro-GX became a legend
and a widely used ship. Almost everyone, from commercial spacelines to
the CED, at some point used a version of the Pyro-GX for their own purposes,
be it armed reconnaissance, escort or deep manned mining and geology research
operations.
The version presented here
is an upgraded, enhanced and refitted "Mk. 3", or, in ISI's designation,
C-93GX/P. Weapons carrying capacity has been reduced from the C-92 revision,
but new and wanted features have been added, such as fire-proof napalm
fuel storage tanks, a revised and improved control system and an altogether
new main fusion reactor. |
