Notes On Juicers

Juicers in Nightbane

There are these wizards called cybermages, they are sort a cross between techno wizards and Dr. Frankenstein they create magical devices by linking living beings to mechanical components in really disgusting ways (i think you may see where I'm going with this).
In nightbane a juicer would be some poor guy who a cybermage grafted all sorts of medical equipment and drug dispensers to, they would probably have little or no combat training (these are the victims of a mad scientist's experiments, not super soldiers), and will be horribly scarred by the experiment (not to mention traumatized). the 'juicer' would only have enhanced abilities while infused with the drugs and charged with PPE (just one or the other would probably kill him he will need both) sort of like a living TW device. when not charged up the character would only have normal human attributes, and combat abilities (nothing enhanced in any way). unfortunately the juicer will still die in about the same amount of time, will have to roll 1d4 times on the juicer disorders table (or whatever it's called), and will have to lug around a large metal device which is fused into his chest and back (this is your drug harness weighing about 50 lbs). to complicate things further the character is unlikely to know which drug (combination of drugs actually) is needed to refill his harness, and will have a difficult time getting them whatever they may be.
Needless to say this will not be a happy character, and he will be eager to have this device removed (if possible) and get revenge on the person (or persons) responsible for his condition.
Only standard juicers are possible, this is a beginning experiment, variant juicers would be way beyond what the cybermage is able to do for several years. at least 50 more years of experimentation will be needed to create a viable juicer, until then 98% of all subjects will die almost immediately, if the cybermage were to attempt a variant juicer the variant juicer would have a life span measured in days (at most two weeks), and would probably die spectacularly. This is the only way to create a juicer in nightbane, the year in my game is only 2018 (most nightbane games take place in 2000 or 2001), and science just isn't up to the task yet.
