The poison that takes you whole

It creeps into your soul
And begins to take its toll
They come to purge it from your body
And try to make you feel so naughty
But your soul still yearns for-

Today I sold my soul for-

It's the only part of me that's whole
Don't come to close
Cuz everybody's whose near
Just seems to disappear
I cannot sell my body or my mind
The angels run from the darkness
And leave me behind
The embers of hell slowly lick away my flesh
The gods turn away taking with them the pain
Leaving me with the blame and the shame of-
Freedom
The devils come to taunt me
And their voices haunt my dreams
They ask me questions
And I show them the fallen angel inside my husk
They see my heart and look away
And condemn me to the shadows of my world
Can you see me
Beneath the dust and the dirt
The blood and the pain
The blame and the shame
This is where my body was slain
Look to the shadows my son

My mind rots in the embers of hell
