Lance Darkarma

Most everybody in Hyrule knew the story of the Hylian goddesses. Din, Nayru, and Farore all created and cultivated their beautiful home. However, in far off lands, reincarnates of the goddesses were born as humans and so was it. In the land of Holodrum, Din a female dancer was born. She was the Oracle of Seasons, and she made sure that all of Holodrum's seasons were in order and flowed properly.

When Din had maintained her young age of 17, she stayed that way, and never aged a day beyond that. On a trip, Gerad Darkarma, a highly regarded knight from Hyrule had business with one of the Elder's of Holodrum, and therefore had to enter the barrier between two worlds. While on his visit, he met the beautiful dancer, and fell in love with her almost on the spot. They had but a few nights, and Gerad had to return to Hyrule soon, so he bid Din farewell.

Shortly after Gerad's departure, Din grew very sick, and it was found that she would be having a child very soon. Within a few short months, it was so, and Lance Darkarma was born into the Holodrum world. His ears were perked like a Hylian, but his thoughts were far beyond that due to the intelligence of his mother.

Holodrum's people absolutely adored the new baby. After all, if anything ever happened to Din, Lance would take upon the job as Oracle of Seasons. Every day people would visit with small baubles or toys for the baby, and kind words for the mother.

Nobody can be loved by everybody, and Lance was no exception. Off to the Northern Holodrum Woods, a group of bandits. These bandits wished for the land to feel the sorrow they did, and they would help this process along by taking away the one hope that the land had come for and eliminating it completely... Lance.

Din was supernatural, and therefore, she did sense that Lance was in great danger. She wished to hold onto her child for as long as possible, and she never left his side until the night when the attack was sure to commence. Lance was given to a visiting Sheikah guard and quickly whisked out of the kingdom, Din taking retreat in the mountains for the time being.

The Sheikah guard arrived in Kakariko Village in Hyrule with the young child. He was put in the care of one of the caring elder women in town and so it was that this woman would be his "mother." When Lance had reached 6 years of age, he was expected to help out around the village. This was not easy, as Lance was not the strongest child ever, and the villagers scorned him for his low work ethic. When the woman died, they thre him out on his own, nobody else wanting to deal with him.

Lance then left Kakariko village and traveled Hyrule alone. Most of the times a traveller would find him and care for him and feed him until he was well enough to continue. Nobody ever kept him because he could not work well and was of no use to them. Only one man who's name he never knew kept him for an entire year when he was halfway through 14 years of age. After this man died, Lance did not depend on anybody to take care of him.

One fine spring day, Lance had wandered back to Kakariko Village. As he looked around the village quietly contemplating what had become of it, he noticed a girl before him. Little to his knowledge, this was Princess Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule. Zelda found Lance interesting and offered him a job to take inventory in the castle. This would mean that Lance would finally have money and shelter. He eagerly accepted.

Side Notes

• Lance had always wanted to give something to his homeland, and about a year after living in the castle, Lance invented the Horse-Drawn carriage. He continued to make and perfect these, and in the interrum invented Hyrule's first sport, Capture The Flag.
• Lance thought he heard somebody screaming outside one evening. He went outside and while he was looking, something was rustling in the bushes. Lance moved the shrubbery away, and light green feline eyes stared at him. The newborn kitten was of Autumn colors and was abandoned, much like Lance himself. He took the kitten in, and to this day it follows Lance. Name- Sprite.
• Once in history a witch cast a curse on Lance and turned him into a feline form. While in this form, Lance had the ability to speak, and one day while stealing a bagel, he choked on a piece, hacking up the pendant that the witch had put in the back of his throat. He almost instantly evolved back into human form. Upon Zelda's order, he buried the pendant in the grounds behind the castle, but noted the location, just in case.

Garb and Abilities

Lance wears a pearly white tunic, with a reversible cape of both turquoise and white,fastened by a maroon clip with the Holodrum insignia.On the turquoise side a black stallion is printed, the same as the one on his shield. Chocolate brown, fitted boots, and golden ornamental armlets that cover his forearms are also worn. He carries a simple longsword for protection, and a sack that he wears around his arm to carry things in. He has light teal blue eyes, and very light brown hair, untidily kept and cut just above his neckline. Not much armor is worn for protection.

Lance is roughly 5'8" a rather small,scrawny guy, but extremely agile and speedy, giving him a small edge over slower opponents.

Abilities

Lance, being the "Oracle of Seasons" has weather controlling ability. [A note that even 1 or 2 spells of this sort can exhaust Lance as he is still learning the extent of his powers]

Lance tends to have a strong affinity with animals.

Lance also has slight shortbow skill.

Specific Magic Attacks

Fire Arrow- In the daylight, Lance can concentrate the sun rays on his arrow tip right before he shoots it. This exhausts minimal power. However, if it is a time when there is no sun, he will exhaust a lot of power to recall the sunlight and heat the arrow.

Animal Control

Sprite-
Species: Cat.
Attacks: Sprite is not controlled by Lance. He is extremely weak and tends to get more in the way than to attack.

Items in Sack

• Shortbow: A finely crafted bow. It is wooden, and there is a spiral design on each of the edges. String is made of strongly reinforced horse hair.
  
• Arrows: Lance takes 20 arrows with him each time he leaves the castle. They are simple wooden arrows, no design to them. [Arrow shortage is not likely, but possible]
  
• Shield- A metallicly crafted shield. Imprinted on the front is a black stallion pictured on it's hind hooves, it's front hooves in the air in some sort of courageous position. Covers about the area of his chest. Straps on back fit on arm. [Not in sack, only takes when he knows there is danger]
  
• Longsword- The fit of the master sword with slightly less power. Simple design, double-edged blade. The handle is golden colored, with a leather grip. [Not in Sack, uses an odd holder on his hip]
  
• Raw Meat- Sprite follows Lance everywhere, and is quite irritable when hungry.
