Here is the basic procedure you want to follow when interviewing a prospective member of the guild.
1.Group with prospect and talk in group chat.
2.Ask the following questions/note the information given.
a.What is your class/level? (note the race of prospect)
b.Is this your main character or an alt?
c.What is your reason for wanting to join a guild?(note: be wary of personal reasons, such as "I want help getting my Epic.")
d.What is your willingness and availability to participate in guild events?
3.Note the information and report it to one of the leaders, or if one is not available discuss it with one or more other officer(s). In the event when no officers are available refer to the examples for making a decision.
examples:letters correspond with questions to be asked.a has been ommited because that is not a determining factor in inviting, but merely for bookkeeping purposes. Also b will not be given examples of because there are only two possible answers. In the case of the character being an alt, ask how often they play that character. If it is a small amount of time, do not invite them.
c1:lets say this prospect is a rogue. "I want somebody to help me get Ravenscale." In this case, do not invite the prospect. Selfish reasons lead to massive complaints.
c2: "I want to have fun, and meet more people." This is the best possible answer, in my mind. People like this are perfect guild material.
As far as d is concerned, don't shun someone for working and going to school along with attending scholl events. But if they are unwilling to participate, that is an entirely different matter. Do not invite someone who is unwilling.
Above all, when inviting a new player, they may not know how to answer the questions, and may have many questions of their own. Do not decline inviting new people just because they are "noobs". We were all there once, and being in a guild is the best way to get accustomed to the workings of the game. Do your best to fill in any newbies on the usefullness of a guild, and answer their questions, eventually you'll see the light bulb go on!
