Chobits is the creation of Clamp. It is mainly a guy anime/manga ( though girls tend to really like it ) The 8th and final manga was translated an released in America just last year ( it even came with a little Chi figure! )

Chobits is a bright, fun, and perverted tale about a young man that comes from the country into the big city to take college prep classes ( or something like that ) because he failed to get into a good school. While taking these classes, he learns about persocons, also known as robots that look like humans. They are mainly used for computers.

Well, one day the guy finds a persocon in the trash. Since he’s poor he takes it to his apartment and tries to get it to work… when he finds the button.. Which he does, eventually, the young computer girl wakes up. All she can say is “Chi”.. they later find out that an important part to her is missing.
