Jill's TotD Dos and Don'ts: A Newbie Guide

- Do- Ask a lot of questions... questions get answers, answers lead to actions, actions lead to XP...
- Do- Go out a lot... even if you can’t think of questions to ask you’ll do a lot of actions..leading to more XP
- Do- Ask the game masters OOG questions... of course players could probably answer them too, but asking the GMs makes you known and remembered (possibly as an annoyance)... and they know the game better than anyone else anyway...
- Don’t- ask me anything... I never know anything IG or OOG or in real life anyway...
- Don’t- ask me the for the wake time... I’m so retarded when it comes to looking at my watch and deciphering those strange numbers.
- Don’t- Talk to Dan too much... he makes your head hurt and has the super power head explodey...In fact... this pretty much holds true for any of the GMs...
- Do- play video games after breaking said “don’t”... you’ll be thankful for their mind-numbing capabilities.
- Don’t- rush head long into battle unless you’re a fighter... or you /want/ to die...
- Do- learn how to do math quickly... this is especially useful for Faes.. Taking 2x damage from cold iron can cause problems for the non-mathematically inclined, especially when a darkside hits you three times in a row
- Don’t- sleep... sleeping is the root of all evil...
- Do- take the game seriously... it /is/ reality...
- Do- Have character/player separation... the game is only real to your character... you are /not/ your character.
- Don’t- bitch to God when I flip out and kill you for not following said “do”
- Don’t- Meta-game... I really hate it when people Meta-game....

- Don’t- Ask “why”... after only a few meetings you’ll realize “why” is a useless question... or, rather, it’s a good question, but the answer will make your head hurt
- Do- (see 7)
- Do- go on the IA chat room a lot, it makes you so much cooler than any else who isn’t on
- Do- check the IG and OOG forums often.... in fact, make them your life.... you’ll be surprised at how much you miss if you have a life outside of the game.
- Do- Follow your own advice if you make one of these guides.
- Do- remember my character’s name... otherwise she’s gonna’ start having a severe identity crisis.... that and I’m getting tired of repeating the name five million times to the same people... it looses it's coolness
