..Welcome to Karlsen University..

...Home of the Falcons...

Established in 1864, this prestigious university was erected by Jonathan Karlsen for the best and the brightest students entering their college years. Set in an environment for relaxation, and at the same time excitement, Karlsen University has been in Boston, Massachusetts ever since the first brick was layed. The University has grown from 29 students, back in the first year, with a single master, to an enrollment of more than 18,000 degree candidates, including undergraduates and students in 10 graduate and professional schools. An additional 13,000 students are enrolled in one or more courses in the Karlsen Extension School, located in various places around the country. Over 14,000 people work at Karlsen, including more than 2,000 faculty. There are also 7,000 faculty appointments in affiliated teaching hospitals.

During its early years, the College offered a classic academic course based on the English university model but consistent with the prevailing philosophy of the first creators, that great mind who also built the school off of his own thoughts, Jonathan Karlsen. An early brochure, published in 1863, justified the College's existence: "To advance Learning and perpetuate it to Posterity."

And while the school has its educational and academic influences, the school is also very much in favor of entertainment for the students. Boston is a city engulfed with all sorts of things for the mind to explore. The ocean is so close, the sea air seems to fill the corridors inside the buildings, and the night-life is adorned to be great with the usual restaurants, clubs, and so forth.
