The illustrious and somewhat enigmatic owner of Il Santuario is Niccolo Giovanni. A rather distingushied man in the Albany upper crust he also owns The Gibson, a techno club in downtown Albany. According to the local papers who have interviewed Nico twice he is recently turned 42 and enjoys living the life of old money.

Niccolo's father Ricardo hit it big when he struck oil in Venezuela. The land he originally purchased for a summer home and small vineyard turned out to be a quite profitable find. He sent young Nico to Oxford to study Economics and then gave him the property upon his graduation. Nico masterfully expanded the territory until he sold it to Haloburton Industries in 1983.

Niccolo then went to Venice, started a corporation and a shipping company. Both of them took off famously and later expanded to purchase a publusher in London. Nicco moved there to oversee the company for a few years in the 1990's before retiring to Dublin in 1998. Recently he has grown tired of Europe and decided to try his hand at things in the new world. He own 15 buisnesses in Albany, 1 Brewery, 4 Cafés, 8 Small Shops, The Gibson and of course Il Santuario. There are also three empty buildings that are owned by his company "Bella Notte Co."

He is also rumored to be quite the ladies man being both a stunningly attractive man for his age (Appearance • • • • •) and as Jane Simpson of the Alpany Free Press commented on June 10th 2003 "Smoother than a silk swaddled baby's butt" (Charisma • • • • •). None of his employees have been able to give him anything bt stunning praise. With a boasted IQ score of over 140 he is as smart as he is dashing.

He's a generous man as well donating over 3 million dollars to the efforts to reviatalize downtrodden portions of Albany. In many reporters oppinions he is one of the most elegiable bachelors in NY High Society. Though he has often been seen with Shalimar Talen and a recent addition of the tanned and lovely Julianna Mortale.
