Escaflowne is one of the best animes out thier but this movie suffered from severe flaws. The dubs on this movie were terrible.Well the voices weren't that bad though they could of been better but theres still something that makes you want to watch this movie over all things and that is the fight scenes. This one thing is the hope to see the beautifully animated fight scenes.

The plot of this story is very interesting though it does suffer from disney ending the plot is still realy good. The movie starts out with a sword fighting scene between the main hero Von and some samuris' but quickly moves on to our world so we can see a scene with the next main charecter.You soon learn of this girl's deppressions and her hopes to commit suicide but these ideas soon take a back seat when shes is taken to Von's world by magic. After she is sent to Von's world she learns that she is the winged goddess and theres a task at hand for her.

So as not to ruin the movie I will not disclouse anymore plot development. However this movie is worth a buy or rent I give it a "see it or I'll break your fucking legs."

Plus there's huge fucking robot things!
