The Official LSDM Rulebook
The 032 Rules
Team and Driver Entry
To enter a team post in the thread for the new season entries when it is posted. You will be prompted for a GP2 or GP3 skin. (I may be willing to convert GP3 carskins and helmets.) Team slots are offered on a first-come-first-served basis, but all of the top six teams of the previous season will have reserved spaces.
There are new rules governing what engine and tyre brands a team can use. These are covered in more detail later.
Performance Points
Teams all start with 16000
driver performance points for each driver in qualifying and race
areas. Teams horespower is covered later but no matter what
choices are made all engines begin at 800bhp.
It should also be noted that random grip range has been
set to 0. More randomisation can be achieved by
changing the slot a team is in. Begining in previous championship
order with a first-come-first served system for new teams the
teams positions are rotated throughout the year. This means that
a team in slot one will be moved to slot two for race two and so
on before reaching thirteen and then returning to slot one. Note
that performance points do not define championship points, the
two are seperate.
Performance points can be earned throughout the season VIA the following methods:

Engine and Tyre Allocation
The new engine and tyre system offers a new level of control over teams. Teams must choose from a list of seven engines with a maximum of two teams each engine supplier. This is done on a first-come-first-served basis and choices should be made wisely. Each engine inherits the mean of the score of both the teams that use it and this is used to define the BHP bonuses of the engine. For every 10 championship points average scored an engine will increase in horsepower by 2bhp for each team using it. If more than 14 teams enter the LSDM 032 season the non-allocated teams will be given a customer engine of choice that earns BHP independantly but only offers 1bhp for every 10 points scored. In any carsets customer engine names will be marked with a (c). The engines are as follows:
Audi/Volkswagen/Skoda, BMW, Ferrari/Fiat, Ford/Jaguar/Cosworth, Honda/Mugen, Renault, Proton
Note that all engine groups with two possible names, (Like Audi/Volkswagen) offer a choice of name. You may badge it as either of the two but it will still count as part of the same group.
Tyres work in a similar manner with the exception that there are only five tyre groups and a maximum of three teams per. The average points for each tyre is added to the qualifying skill of every driver on that tyre.
Bridgestone/Firestone, Avon, Michelin, Pirelli, Goodyear
Reliability Scores
Reliability scores start at 12000 and are decreased by 100 for every race finished.
