There are 5 regions in Grago. They are called Krech Locke [Krech
Forest], Hisano Sierra [the Painful Mountains], Yasu Nagisa [The Peaceful
Shore], Kawa Tani [the River Valley], and last, Riku Hitomi [Land of the
Mystic Eye]. In case you have not yet noticed, the ancient peopleof Grago
did not believe in complicated names! At any rate, I will now give a quick
explanation of each region.
{See
my horrible map of Grago}
Hisano Sierra- This is the mountain range that runs, north to south, across the center of Grago. In this region you will see mostly Barbarians, and Goblins. You'll of course see other races, but these two have cities in the mountains. The Goblin City, Tossico, is deep underneath the mountains to the south. The Barbarian civilization of Joia, on the other hand, is on a plateau near the end of the mountains, to the north. The only path that goes through the mountains is the one beside the Grago River. But be careful while traveling at night, for that is when the goblins come out to play.
Yasu Nagisa - This is the shore region in south of Grago. In Yasu Nagisa, you will see all races of peaceful nature, and the occasional nasty race (for example, every once and a while a Troll sneaks into the area, and kidnaps an oblivious traveler for it's supper.) There are three cities in this region:. Descanso, a town that seems to attract travelers, and is full of inns, taverns, and shops; Mydranore, a dwarven city that serves the best ale in Grago; and La Fortaleza, a fortified port city at the end of the Grago river. A lot of trade goes on between this city, and the capitol, Hafen-Dorf. Also in this region is the beginning of the forest that turns into the massive Krech Locke.
Kawa Tani - This is the valley that forms around the mouth of the Grago River. It is in the north, and to the East of Hisano Sierra. This region is home to many towns, but also the capital city, Hafen-Dorf. Hafen-Dorf is mostly a city of Humans (the ones that arrived here in Grago have congregated here over time, and bred. That is why there is so many. However, unless you come up with a good reason for your character to have been born and raised in Grago, no characters will be excepted that lived here before), and Half Elves, but you will find many other races here as well. It is a major trading city, and everyday many many ships come in, and depart on their way to the rest of Grago. Also, many miners live here, because the Mountains are so near by. Because of these things, you can imagine that many riches can be found here, and this is where you will find the richest of rich people living, including the royal family of Grago. Travelers here are very welcome, and do not have to worry about being robbed. Some of the smaller towns in this region are: Khole, a small mining town on the out skirts of Hafen-dorf; Pesci, a small fishing village to the north of Hafen-Dorf, it is near the ocean, and the mouth of the Grago River, and catches many many fish for all of Grago.; and Nahrung, an even smaller town to the east of Hafen-Dorf, which is extremely well known for it's delicious food.
Krech Locke - This is the forested region of Grago. You'll obviously find a variety of races here, but mostly you will find wood elves. Also, here in the woods Trolls and Ogres are most common, then anywhere else, so travelers beware. There are also three towns in this area, the main one being Auronia, a Wood Elf city. The second town, to the west of Auronia, is Mude, a sleepy little town that may seem boring to most, but the people here love it. To the east of Auronia is Descubra, a town of gnomes, where they can tinker, and invent amongst themselves and worry about hurting anyone else.
Riku Hitomi - This is the least populated area in Grago, with only one city, Uniluminosita. This is a city full of Dark Elves, and King Dunkel, Queen Escuro, and Prince Fonce, their son live here. Almost no one travels here, fearing the Dark Elves, and there is a wide open plain before Riku Hitomi that takes many days to cross. This land is known for it's strange occurrences, and this could be why the Dark Elves like it so much.
Citta di Ladri - This is not one of the regions, however this city does not fit into any of the regions. This is the City of Thieves. You'll find all your criminals living here, that is, if they are known criminals. Nearly no travelers dare to venture here, except the extremely brave, and strong ones. The city is found on an island off the west coast of mainland Grago.
