Everquest has THOUSANDS of players. NO joke!
Lets look at it this way...
There are (from my last count a month ago) 42 servers.
One server can hold 2000 players.
Well...thats 84,000 players!!!
However, thats 84,000 possible players. People have normal
lives outside of EQ, so like Newmoon, they may not be logged in.
Also, each paying customer is allowed 8 characters per server.
So in reality, maybe 25% of players are playing at any given time.
But 25% is over 20,000...so what does this mean?
Well, people basically give you the finger (lol).
You may never meet people again. It is like a large city.
I met people a month ago who I have not seen
or may never see again.
With the lack of respect...
Its hard to get buffed (shields,etc) from people.
