This is a faq on how to beat phantom gannon

First when you enter the room with paintings go to the centre of the
room, phantom gannon will pop out of one of the pantings then go back
into another.
Now what you have to do is lokk for wich painting he comes out of and
shoot him with an arrow before he emerges from it (watch out though
sometimes he will try and trick you by leaving two vortexes on seperate
paintings, just look for the one that he emerges from.)
Eventualy he will get off his horse and circle around you shooting 
beams or the occasional sword dive.
All you have to do is hit him when he gets low eneogh, then he will
fall to the ground. Just hit him over and over, eventualy he'll get 
back up and you'll have to repeat the above steps in order to defeat 
him. This battle takes a little while so don't give up hope have way 
through the battle and turn your 64 off.
