What can I say? Wave Race: Blue Storm is beautiful! It's an absolute masterpiece! Every aspect of the game is at its prime. There really isn't any flaws in Wave Race at all! Graphics: Probably the greatest attribute to the game is the graphics. The graphics are virtually flawless. When you race water sprays out from behind the Jet Ski, streaks of water being cut is perfectly set as very real. When you go off of a jump water droplets splash onto the camera lense for a brief moment... It reminds me of an actual jet ski race. The characters are unique and have their own features. The character lineup has multiple female and male characters. Each character has their own voice and other attributes such as clothing, racing vest and their own jet ski. The texture of the game is fantastic also, it displays every little detail you could possibly think of ranging from the boards in the decks, water ripples, spots on the dolphins and even the character's face. Seagulls flock in the sky and gorgous clouds dwelm over a beautiful blue horizon-It kind of makes you wish you lived there! Sound: Another positive addition to the game is the sound. I don't have any complaints here.. except for the characters. Their outrages of excitement can get annoying after awhile, especially in the free ride mode where you can cruise around for hours. The music in the game is how it should be, it sounds good. No problems here. The hum of the Jet Ski sounds within range and the water splashes are totally accurate and crystal clear. Control: The controls are pretty good. I don't feel them like I did for the N64 though. The GameCube version seems a little more advanced to control. This could be because of the wakes and waves that bump into you as your turning, but you really can't gripe about that though, that's just Nintendo trying to be even more realistic. Gameplay: Putting it all together goes like peas in a pot. The configuration is excellent and very well designed. Not anything in the game seems out of place at all. The sound, the graphics and the control fit like a glove! Fun Factor: I shouldn't have to tell you that this game is fun! Well maybe I wil anyway. Wave Race: Blue Storm is madly entertaining! You can play it for hours and not get sick of it. Aside from being fun, it has an excellent replay value factor. In Wave Race there are a ton of features and a great 2-4 player multiplayer mode that can keep you wet in your seat for hours (I hope that sounded right...). So as you can see, Wave Race: Blue Storm is the perfect game to play if you're looking to have some fun. If you haven't already, go out and buy Wave Race: Blue Storm today!
