Everyone's favourite Mario racing game is back....AND FOR THE CUBE!

When you think of the great games released on the Nintendo64, you immediately think of Super Mario 64, Zelda, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, and of course, Mario Kart 64. MK64 revolutionized multi-player gaming. It was the first true 4 player game on the N64, and was absolutely brilliant. The levels, weapons and characters were all perfectly animated, and looked very smooth and complete. Now, with the power of the Gamecube, we can all be expected pure bliss.

Features

  • All your favourite Nintendo characters
  • Powerful GameCube hardware allows for higher polygon models and more detailed environments
  • Power-ups and bonuses increase your gaming experience
  • Four Player Support

    E3 2001
In the seven second preview video we saw Mario and Luigi speeding along in their karts along a bumpmapped, 3D surface void any corners. Even though this video lacked a complete background, once Mario performed his power-slide, the crowd at E3 went up in cheers, for Mario Kart had now been officially confirmed for the Gamecube!

Even though what we have seen is only a teaser, it showed us that what is coming has made huge leaps from previous Mario Kart titles. We can already see that the characters are made using more polygons than ever seen and when Mario Kart Cubed is finally out, it will be a very impressive game.

    Conclusion
From what we've seen we can tell Mario Kart is once again going to change multiplayer gaming. However, we can also see that Mario Kart will not be released in 2001. It will most likely be released during the third quarter of 2002. So, lets all now wait to see if Nintendo releases any more information when SpaceWorld 2001 rolls around.
