All-Star Baseball 2003

Graphics: The graphics are better than 2001, but almost the same. They have smooth running and very nice batting stances, with the field looking HOT. The players are measured down to every detail, and the pitching windups are amazing. One thing that pisses me off is the batting though. I think they could have put a lot more effort in the batting, and the control of the batting. It is really hard to master the batting, but you get used to it after awhile. Also, if your looking for a diving catch, savor the replay. The graphics make this game truely remarkable with those replays.

Sound: The commentators are amazing in this game. With all new quotes and sarcastic remarks, they make the game what is it. What would we do without them? Probably win more games, but thats besides the point. Crack of the bats are truely more realistic, and the sounds of everything just adds up to a phenominal thing. The catching, even the sliding is more realistic. GameCube sound is truely remarkable.

Control: The controls are easy, but it takes 15 minutes to get used to them. The pitching is a little harder, and the hitting too, but the baserunning and fielding is much easier. Also on the hitting, you need to hit the long diagnal part of the triangle. It took me about a month to figure this out. I kept hitting the ball in the middle of the target, and I would miss. This is the first time I had to read an instruction booklet, which really made me pissed. If you think about it, the controls arn't that bad. Just practice a lot and it'll come to ya, if your a true gamer.

Fun Factor: With World Series, All-Star Games(NOT IN 2001), and new seasons and playoffs to conquer, how can this game get boring? The computers are willing to destroy you, but we know who prevails. Endless hours of gameplay await you. The AI is amazing as well, as COMPS make the ultimate play decisions. You better take out your best pitcher, because they are swinging for the fenches. Even ROOKIE is a challenge with this game, so toughen up, drink some OJ, turn on your GC, and get ready for the ultimate baseball computers in the world.

Rating: 8 - The game was amazing, but the hitting and pitching needs some work. Other than that, Batter Up!
