
As every Nintendo64 owner knows, there were no good
third-party RPG's for the N64. They only half-decent RPG released for the N64
was Paper Mario, however there was almost no challenge to it, so it was
overlooked. Luckily, Gamecubers will not have to suffer a lack of this genre.
This is because of our friend (and maker of Metroid Prime), Retro Studios.

Gameplay
From what we have gathered Raven Blade is an epic tale that seats its player as
a sword bearing knight who can use magic and other weapons to aid him in his
quest to find the all-powerful sword entitled, "Raven Blade." You will adventure
into populated villages, ancient ruins, creepy dungeons and many other
beautifully landscaped areas. Raven Blade will require you to battle against
gruesome and terrifying winged, fire-breating dragons! There also happens to be
a female character, however it has not been released on what her role in the
game is yet.
Graphics
Visually, Raven Blade has alot going for it. The marvelous landscapes really
amazed anyone who has seen the screenshots and movies around the net. As well as
the lighting effects. The characters look incredible and very, very realistic.
The only way you will understand how awesome the graphics for Raven Blade are is
to check out the screenshots below. It is truely spectacular!
Conclusion
Overall, Raven Blade is any Nintendo fan's dream game. Especially if you are a
RPG lover as well. Every element of this game seems to be 100% perfect. The
worlds and characters are beautifully made, and the story line (however yet to
unveilved) seems like it could be very unique and deep. Once Raven Blade is
fully unveiled and details are released, you will see a large crowd of gamers
become addicted to this game, and will not be able to sleep until its release
date which is expected for early 2002. But until, just look at the screens.
