The sun is setting across Eagleland. Carved pumpkins line the streets. Stray dogs are howling at the full moon. The brisk smell of Autumn is in the air. It's Halloween Night and you, Ness, the Chosen boy who saved the world from the wraith of Giygas just two months ago, is speeding to the local Onett Drug Store to buy a last-minute costume for Halloween. Paula and the others will soon meet you to go trick-or-treating. Just the thought of all the candy overflowing your bag makes you drool.
But first you need a costume. You wipe the drool off your face and enter the Onett Drug Store. In their small Halloween display, they have a candy shelf that is empty save for a bag of gummi worms. Next to the non-existant candy is the only remaining costumes. There are only four left.
