She's the kickass martial artist that you meet in Midgar early on in the game as she is hosting a bar. If that's not enough for ya, she's also a key AVALANCHE member. She's smart and optimistic toward others, although it's pretty obvious that she's actually seeing the glass as half full. Tifa is monstrously cool, but maybe that's just my opinion.

Usefulness in battle: She's pretty damn useful. Tifa's strong, fast, and an average magic-caster. After getting her final weapon, though, there's a certain cycle that she goes through, so her attack kinda gets unpredictable. I always, ALWAYS kept her in my party.
