Ok so when you first saw this article I bet you were staring at the computer screen with your mouth open. Well me too :) Final Fantasy X-2 is obviously the first sequel Final Fantasy has had in it's series. It is not yet known if Tidus, Auron, Kimahri, Lulu or Wakka are anywhere to be seen but there is definetly the two babes Rikku and Yuna in it. As well as being on the game they have had certain improvments you could say. For example all you need to do is look at
Now you might be asking why they didnt make sequels to VII or IX some of the most popular fantasies in the series. Well you may be in luck. As Final Fantasy X ended so weirdly with Tidus vanishing and then somehow being under the sea at the end it would only make sense to make a sequel as it didn't seem a very satisfying ending. So maybe this is to make you understand more or maybe Tidus might come back etc. It is a rumour that other Final Fantasies also may be getting sequels if this one has high ratings which it probably will. Well your probably wondering if this is going to be an exact same system and gaining experience as all the other Final Fantasies which SQUARE has probably anticapated. To make this different many new things have been added. Well first Yuna has received more abilities outside battle such as Jumping. Also it is rumoured that the all time favourite Job system might be returning in this special spinoff. This game will not be an online game.
As you might already know the story takes place 2-3 years after the team defeated Sin. Many groups have formed since then for certain purposes. Also Machina has become very popular again and is swarming everywhere(There pushing it aren't they). So instead of having to walk along a three screen plains you can take a Machina hoverer or scooter to speed up. Quite an improvement. Anyway as I was saying, Many people have formed groups. Yuna and Rikku have made a group for collecting spheres for certain unknown reasons. But also an objective is to find Tidus which is what Yuna and Rikku set off for another adventure for. And when they meet Paine (A new character) She looks a lot like except shes a girl. So the whole thing has quite alot of twists in it.
Well, as there is a lot of and increasing amount of Final Fantasy fans around the world I would say alot of them would buy it. Even if just out of interest of what it's like. So the ratings are expected to be just as good as an ordinary FF game. And you never know even more sequels might appear in time. So only time will tell.
