Blitzball is a mini game in Final fantasy X. It is an underwater version of football and basketball combined except you can punch kick or do whatever you want to get the ball. You can play in League and Tournament modes. Also as rewards of winning modes in Blitzball, you can get new overdrives and items for Wakka. You can also sign new people on your team by talking to people by pressing square. But remember, not eberyone plays it.
There are six different teams in Spira. The Ronso Fangs, Kilika beasts, Luca goers, Al Bhed Phycses, Guado glories and the Besaid Aurochs. Each team had there strengths and weaknesses and here they are. The Ronso Fangs: They are very strong and have good endurance and pass', but they are very slow swimmers, you can overtake them easily.
Kilika beasts:The Kilika beasts are basically a balanced team. They are sometimes all over the place, and are sometimes marking all over.
Luca Goers:Very much like the kilika beats. They have good striking power and good defence. A hard team to defeat.
Al Bhed Phycses:Probably the most hardest team in Spira. There goalie (Nimrook)is brilliant so the only way to score really is with a sphere shot.
Guado Glories:A weirdish team. There speed is good as they can swim a little bit faster than normal but they are not too good at tackling so your strikers wont have much problem shooting.
Besaid Aurochs:your team is the best team in the league(LOL). Your team is all round based too. As long as you give everyone enough of the ball. You can sign new players if you want but I think it's best to stick to the original people.
As you know you can sign new players all over Spira on your Blitzball team. There are also certain Blitzers who are better than normal ones. You can make the best blitz team with these people. Click here to know where they are and how to get them.
The League consists of 10 rounds. The team with the most points at the end win 1st prize, and the top scorer wins one too. 3 points for a win. 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss.
Tournaments are Blitzball modes you can play after playing between 2 or 3 league games. You win a prize for 1st 2nd or 3rd place and for the top scorer. You will have to play either 3 or 2 matches if you win. You may be able to only play 2 if you get seeded meaning you just watch the teams play and you play the winner of them.
