May the sins of the father fall upon the son... And shall the son accept his father's evil as his own so that he may be complete...
In the beginning, there was the father and the son... The most beloved... The only. The most perfect favor of the father fell only and completely on the son. The son, knowing only love for the father wished only to please. His was the greater love. His was the perfect love. If this were the other way around, his folly would have been inconsequential. The son was cast out, and the father began anew. The son, beget many. The son beget us all.
-Excerpt from the Dark Book of Sine
Very little is known about these elusive creatures. Able to possess the flesh of the innocent, and twist them to their own machinations, these hellish beings are the truest embodiment of evil. Known to the elves as the Fah'nal-halas, humankind had had no contact with these fierce entities until the appearance of the dark warrior. Since his power has been exerted many of others have made their way into our realm, and since their arrival things have seemed to only darken. The few survived encounters with demons leave the participants in any number of shocked states. Both men and women have fallen prey to these foul beasts, and their populace in the realms, as of late, seems to be growing. Demons can range in size from tiny to gigantic. They can assume the forms of beautiful maidens, or those of fiendish horrors. Some, such as the dark warrior, assume a single form and live their lives contrary to all things good. Demons have been said to accel at evil and destructive magics, and use them to augment their ferocious fighting abilities, such as making themselves incredibly agile, or strong.
According to tomes found within the depths of the earth, Demons rest on a heirarchy in their aquisition of power. The youngest being the least threatening, with only burgeoning powers, and little control over them, and the oldest, the Arch Demons, appearing almost godlike. Noone wishes to categorize the ability of the dark one, for fear that his power may be much greater than any has yet imagined.
