Bio- Vilet is the sister of Aeris who was taken as a baby by Shinra to be experimented on. As time progressed she began to help with Shinra's various experiments because of her great intelligence. After years of service she is now Head of the Science Department, taking place of the old Hojo. She is a very important aspect and key to the Shinra company.
