It's much cooler in the caverns and tunnels of Mount Moon than it is in the humidity outside, which makes for a pleasant changes for any of those who are traveling through here. Felicity fits this category, walking warily into the cavern with her trenchcoat hanging loosely off of her body. An energetic male Nidoran follows cheerfully behind her, skipping between stray rocks and looking all about. Felicity shines the beam of her flashlight into all corners of this cavern as she walks in, listening to the trilling of various unseen Clefaries and trying not to trip.
Felicity stops for a moment a few feet into the cavern, looking around and trying to make out the different shapes in the unlit area. She spots the pile of boulders and walks over to it, beckoning to her Nidoran in the process. The poison-pokemon trots across the stone ground towards Felicity; however, he stops halfway, his ears pricking up. <Hey, Leese. Do you hear that?> He looks in the direction he thinks the sound is coming from as Felicity leans back against one of the large boulders, reaching into her bag for a water bottle. "Hear what, Kishou?" <That! It's rustling.> Felicity stops moving for a moment, trying to hear what Kishou is talking about with little success.

The call of the human gets no verbal response, and the Nidoran would probably notice that the rustling sound just continues on despite the new distractions in the cave. A few moments of this pass, and eventually, a small rock flies over one of the boulder, clattering on the ground nearby as if it were just tossed away carelessly for no obvious reason. If the human or the pokemon were to look over that way, however, they would notice that there's nothing there, either. After another few moments pass, another, slightly larger rock flies in roughly the same pattern... but this time it's followed by a rather disapproving "Dude,", as well.
In getting no response to her loud question, Felicity shrugs and says uncertainly to Kishou, "No one's there..." Her sentence is cut short, however, by a rock clattering on the ground nearby. "Or maybe so," Felicity adds, looking around. By this time she is standing a couple feet away from the pile of boulders. Kishou sniffs around one of the larger ones, trying to find what threw the rock. It's at this time that the other, larger rock flies out, and Felicity raises an eyebrow at the "Dude," that follows it. <It's another pokemon,> Kishou says, stating the obvious. <Hello? If you're there, can you come out?> Felicity shrugs again, peering at and around the spot Kishou is inspecting.
This time, the rustling of paper comes to a stop... but no verbal response comes from the obviously hidden pokemon in question for a few moments. A curious "Geo?" does eventually come, followed by another pebble that'll land on Kishou's head if he isn't paying attention. <Who's out there?> the voice asks, followed by some more rustling paper. <Why should I come out there when I don't know who's out there? You come over here instead!> the pokemon calls, and it makes no effort to show itself... though the talking probably gives away its position quite nicely. Should a flashlight be shined in said direction, it'll fall upon one of the boulders, still leaving the pokemon hidden for now. <And don't try anything funny! I've got rocks and I'm not afraid to use them!>
Kishou translates the Geodude's words quite nicely for Felicity, albeit pausing in the middle to <Ow!> from the rock hitting his head. As he stops to try to rub his head, Felicity moves a bit closer to the boulders, shining her flashlight on the spot where the voice is coming from. "Well... I'm Felicity, and that's my Nidoran, Kishou. We're not going to... try to hurt you, or anything. Go ahead, come on out." Felicity smiles as she says this, moving still closer to the Geodude's hideout. <There's... there's no need to use any of your-- your rocks on us,> Kishou chimes in, attempting to move out of the line of fire for pebbles and such.
A few thoughtful "Geo" and "Dude"s are emitted as the trainer introduces herself and the Nidoran, and then the paper rustles one last time, and the pokemon makes its appearance, hopping up on top of the boulder it was hiding behind. The pokemon is a Geodude... a very green Geodude. A very green Geodude with a paper bag that looks very full. The oddly colored pokemon glances down at the Nidoran first, then over at Felicity herself... and she looks pleased when she spots the human. <Ooo! A human!> she nearly squeals (as much as a Geodude can, at least), bouncing in place a few times as well. <You people always have the best stuff! I don't know what you're supposed to be, though,> she notes, glancing down at Kishou for a moment.
Kishou translates once again, looking relieved that no more rocks are going to be thrown at him. Felicity shines her beam briefly over the Geodude (briefly so as not to get light in its eyes,) blinking a few times at her odd coloring. "Wow, you're a pretty cool color..." Felicity admires absently, rubbing the back of her neck. "Ah... Kishou is a Nidoran," she says as she points to her pokemon, who grins sheepishly. "And what do you mean... humans always have the best stuff?" She peers suspiciously at the off-color Geodude, her flashlight beam pointing towards the ground. Kishou wanders idly over to Felicity, sitting down on his haunches and watching the Geodude.
The Geodude grins slightly as Felicity admires her coloring, and moves her bag out in front of her as she begins to speak again. <All the humans I've seen have said that too, actually. I don't know why...> she notes, digging into the bag with one hand, causing the rustling to start up once again. <And... I mean you always have the coolest stuff! I got this bag from a human who just left it on the ground...> she notes, pulling out what appears to be a flashlight as she speaks. <And this light thingie that someone else dropped when I surprised them. It doesn't work anymore, though...> she continues, dropping it back into the back and pulling out some change. <And these shiny things fell out of a humans pocket, and...> The Geodude will continue to pull seemingly random objects from the bag and show them off until she's interrupted, including things such as a pen, a spoon, and a water bottle. And a lot of rocks.
As always, faithful Kishou translates, and Felicity picks him up so he can see the Geodude better. <Green...> is all he says when he sees the color of the rock pokemon's "skin." Felicity just watches as the Geodude pulls random objects out of her bag, staying silent for a few moments. After the Geodude takes out a water bottle, however, she speaks again. "You've got quite a collection there," she notes, pointing to the bag. "I know this is rather blunt, but how would you like to come with me? I can help you find a lot of things to add to that bag!" She smiles good-naturedly, waving a hand absently towards the entrance of the cavern. "It'd be pretty fun."
The Geodude almost seems to pout for a moment as she's shushed, but then she blinks once as the girl offers to take her with her. <Go with you?> she asks, glancing down at Kishou for a moment, then over at Felicity again as she puts her water bottle away. <All the other humans that find me ask me that, too. None of them have offered to help me find things for my collection... but still, what makes you better than any of those other people?> she asks, moving the bag over to her left afterwards. <And besides... what's to stop me from just taking -your- stuff right now? I bet you've got some nice things on you somewhere,> she decides, leaning forward a little bit and resting her weight on her rocky hands. While this could be interpreted as a threat, the pokemon doesn't really seem like it's planning on acting on it. Not now, at least.
<Felicity's really great! She's never mean to any of us!> Kishou buts in before he translates for Felicity. The girl grins modestly, looking at the ground for a moment. "Like he said, I'm pretty good to my pokemon. I treat them all fairly." She sends a glance to the ceiling for a moment, thinking of what else to say. She sends another glance to the Geodude's bag before answering the rock-pokemon's threat-like question. "Well, why take my things when I would give you a lot of stuff of your own?" She smiles again, waiting patiently for a reply from the Geodude.
The pokemon rolls back and forth slightly on her round body as the trainer and her pokemon talk, and then she grabs onto her bag and floats a little bit closer to the duo. <Let me get a better look at you,> she says, moving to float around the pair in a slow circle. She'll stay a decent distance away, so as not to threaten the girl or her pokemon, and she'll continue to circle even as she begins to speak once again. <Give me some things of my own, eh? I've always just had to take whatever I could get from people before... or whatever people left behind. Or rocks from those stupid bouncing Clefairies,> she notes, coming to a stop in front of the pair once again. <That does sound pretty nice... but show me what you've got to offer. I need to make sure this is going to be worth my while, after all.>
Kishou peers at Felicity after translating for her, as if to say, <Do you really want to catch this packrat?> The girl just grins and watches the Geodude as she circles around. It takes her a few moments to think of something to say or offer, and she opens her pack that hangs over her shoulder to dig around in it. "Well, let's see... there's always food, but I guess that's a given." Felicity continues to dig, pulling out a small trinket in the shape of a Nidorino. "And I have this toy," The girl knows she sounds a bit lame, but continues looking, still holding the trinket in her hand. Eventually, she pulls out a pack of cards. "These playing cards have pokemon print on the back of them..." she says slowly, still looking. Her face brightens as she pulls out a crinkled but shiny, cone-shaped party hat with an elastic string to keep it on. "I didn't know I still had this with me, wow!" She shows it to the Geodude. "It's a hat!" She puts it on her head for example, causing Kishou to snicker. "I have a bunch of other stuff, but I could always buy something for you if you needed it..."
The Geodude looks down at all of the stuff the female human has to offer her, and she blinks once at the Nidorino toy. <That thing looks kinda like you, shorty,> she notes, chuckling at the Nidoran for a moment. The cards get no real recognition from the Geodude, but that hat catches its interest quite nicely. <Ooo...> she breathes, floating up a little bit higher to look at it a little more closely. <I really like that thing!> she decides excitedly, circling around once again to get a look at it from all sides. <It's so cool! I want that!> she exclaims, floating around to be in front of the trainer once again. <I really want that thingy! But... I'm still not sure I want to go with you just yet,> she explains, floating down to the floor once again. <What do you do? All I've ever done is sit around in this place for the longest time, collecting things from other humans... it's starting to get a little bit dull,> she says, glancing up at the human once again. <What sort of things would I get to do if I went with you?>
Kishou scowls at the nickname the Geodude has given him, but still translates the pokemon's words for his trainer. As Felicity deposits the figurine and the deck of cards back into her bag, she grins. Taking off the party hat with a snap of elastic, she looks at the Geodude admiring the hat. "Well, you're welcome to it if you come with me. I'm sure it'd fit quite nicely on your...hrm." Felicity scratches her head. "Head, I suppose." She quickly recovers herself from her state of confusion and continues. "Well, I myself take pictures, so you'd probably get to pose for one of them, but... You'd also get to battle different pokemon, you'd get to play with my other pokemon, including Kishou here, you'd get to see new sights, too. And we could go to festivals and such, enter tournaments, things like that. There's so much more, too!" Felicity smiles widely.
The Geodude continues to nod and listen as the girl gives her more reasons why she should go with her, and then she floats up to eye level with the girl once again. <Alright! I've made up my mind...> she says, winking to the girl as she speaks. <I think I'll go with you. This place is getting too dark and damp for my tastes nowadays, anyway. And I really want that cool hat thingy!> she exclaims, sounding quite happy with her decision. <Though that hat might look better on this little tyke,> she decides, floating down a little bit to examine the Nidoran once again. <If you can keep those ears out of the way. So what's the first thing on the agenda?>
Kishou raises an eyebrow at the Geodude's comment about his hat, but still translates for Felicity, whose smile gets even wider. "Great!" she says cheerfully, bouncing a little. "First thing on the agenda? We're getting out of here and going to the nearest Pokemon Center. After that, well, we'll see. Did you want the hat?" If the Geodude says yes, Felicity will hand her the shiny gold hat, and if not, she'll put it back in her bag and start walking out, beckoning to her new pokemon in the process. <You're going to be happy with Felicity, I promise!> Kishou says happily, always willing to have a new playmate.
The Geodude does indeed want the hat, and she does indeed say yes in response to the question. As the hat is handed to her, she does her best to get it on her head... though it probably won't end up staying there very long unless the trainer helps out a bit. <Pokemon Center, eh? Well then, let's go!> she decides, moving to float in a lazy circle around the girl and her pokemon once again, her bag in tow all the while. The rock pokemon will follow the girl anywhere she decides she wants to go... at least until the girl decides to put her in a pokeball for a while, that is.
