The Order of Eraldus
The Order of Eraldus is the place where all true tarlins go. Their members refuse to even interact with the 'heathen' elves. They believe in only one thing. Technology. There are some true tarlins that don't belong to the Order, but these are rare, and are looked down upon by their brethren. Generally, they are not nearly as war-like as their ancestors were, but the leader is certain that the use of magic is an affront to nature, and they'll do anything in their power to stop it. They also have an unreasoning hatred for anything created of magic, which is just about all the of the Tahani allies, but especially the catlings and mermaids, though it is not unknown for a high member of the order to keep a chained catling as a pet, or a mermaid prisoner in a specially built aquarium. Many hunters have grown rich from these interests, which is why mermaids and catlings will show themselves to few people.
