Razorwind: Wind swirls around Katsu, and he dashes forth, cutting through his enemies before they can see him.
Zephyr Step: This ability causes Katsu to speed up, enhancing him by 3x haste. A blue haze surrounds him.
Halcyon Serenity: Purifies target of status effects.
Cloudshade: Summons dark clouds to mask the sky's light, bringing a darkness apt for escape. Can also be used to create a low-lying fog or mist.
Tempest Edge: Summons a brief flurry of wind and snow. During this time, Katsu, masked by the darkness, leaps into the air towards the heavens, lifted by strong winds. As the clouds part and light streams down, Katsu flies down, sword thrust downward, into his enemies.
Dawnknight Trance: Causes Katsu to glow with a armor of seemingly energy created from the wind and clouds, in fact, its called Spirit Aegis armor. It is more resistant than normal armor, and allows Katsu to be unaffected by status conditions while in Trance. The armor lasts for the rest of the battle. The Dawnknight is a warrior, seeking to bring the dawn of a new age. They have a firm command with nature, and appear in harmony with it. Katsu's attack and defense are increased in this mode.
Zephyr Step: Same as when out of trance, except its by 6x haste.
Stormbringer: Holds Wraithedge towards the sky, and dark clouds accumulate. Winds pick up, and harsh sleeting acid-rain comes down, poisoning victims as well as blinding them.
Remedy of the Skies (Dawnglow): By calling upon the wind and skies themselves, a gentle breeze swirls past Katsu's party, healing them about half of their total health, and restoring status.
Typhoon: Causes whirling winds to swell about the enemy, throwing them around, disorienting them as well. Causes confusion.
Cataclysm: Most powerful trance ability. The earth seems to tear asunder, and the heavens rage. Capable of a large amount of damage, but leaves Katsu weak and hungry.

Weak With: Ice
Weak Against: Earth

Description/History: Katsu stands around 5'9, and has dark, slightly spikey hair. He wears a light blue velvet seeming shirt, with a dark blue half-jacket over. Wears a black belt with numerous satchels and pouches. Dark blue slightly baggy pants, and tall black boots with silver lacings. His eyes usually appear a deep blue color, but occasionally a green, static wave swirls through his eyes. When he trances, his eyes freeze their shifting in the deep blue color, then seem to shatter into shards as green and neon blue (like lightning) swirls around his eyes furiously, pulsing with fury. It creates quite an intense impression.
Mikatsu, or Katsu, as he is known by those who have made his acquaintance, lived a quiet life in a isolated village high on a peak. The village was devoted to Kaze, their wind god, and were none for their pious celebration and dedication to the shrine in the mountain. No one was allowed up to this shrine, except experienced priests, who would take the village's offerings up.
Katsu's life at home was simplistic, but balanced. He took under with a mentor, training with a sword. His natural talent with a blade and his devotion to his training allowed him to become extremely skilled with a blade very soon. Focusing on speed fighting, 'strike like the wind and hit like the heavens' was the motto he was taught. Tirelessly practicing to become faster and quicker with the blade, he soon mastered his art.
As Katsu continued to train and work in his village, he met a hawk called Swiftwing. The two were fast friends. In due time, Katsu was quite comfortable of birds of all types. At one point, Katsu attempted summoning, and instead of summoning his target, Quetzacotl, he summoned Phoenix, the bird of flames. Phoenix has accompanied him ever since.
When he was about 19, Katsu risked a trip up to the shrine of the wind god, following the priests on a hazard-filled path. When he reached the summit, and the shrine, he was both crestfallen and angered. The priests were charlatans, stealing the people's money and taking it to their hideout on the mountain. They had created the pretense that the gods would be angry if any other ventured up there to scare away any curious idlers. Katsu reached for his standard katana, but found it replaced by a blade that was silent as night itself, and swift as the raging wind. Without questioning, he drew this blade he assumed given to him by divine intervention, and assaulted the priests, his eyes shattering and swelling with raging energy. They were powerful, for though they were charlatans, they were magic-users. Ultimately, Katsu suffered a mortal injury from a priest's dagger as he used his Cataclysm ability, never beknownst to him before, nearly destroying the summit. Phoenix came, and revived him. He left his village on an exodus to find the bird god of wind and rain, Quetzacotl. He became, without realizing, a herald of things to come involving the deceit of the world and charlatan clerics.
Despite his efforts, Katsu was met with dissapointment after dissapointment in his search for Quezacotl. One day while traveling in the Wilderness Continent, he stumbled across a small village that claimed to have evidence that the god did in fact exist, and they offered to show Katsu to the bird. They took him to an abandoned cliff and ambushed him, turning out to be a group of impoverished villagers who attacked travelers for money and supplies. Katsu fought them off for a time, but was ultimately felled. In one last desperate attempt at surviving the attack, he summoned Phoenix, but rather than wanting the bird to revive his health, he instead yearned for his summon to obliterate his enemies, crushing them with full force. Phoenix completely destroyed Katsu's enemies and the nearly dead Mikatsu realized that he felt revitalized from seeing his opponents suffer; thanks to his newfound energy, he was able to escape and heal himself before returning to the impoverished town to destroy it. Before he got the chance, he learned of the kingdom of the continent and its internal power struggles, and the clever Mikatsu had some ideas.
Instead of wasting his time with the village, Mikatsu traveled to the continent's kingdom. He successfully manipulated his way into a relationship with Vincent Baldwin, a high-ranking knight, and worked his way diplomatically into a relationship with the royal family. After a few choice assassinations, framings, and promotions, Mikatsu ended up becoming the prince of the kingdom, the REAL power behind the king. With a position of power established over a large kingdom and the most powerful fleet of airships in the world, Mikatsu became corrupt and increasingly more sinister.
One thing still bothered Mikatsu, though. He had never found Quezacotl, or settled his grudge against his enemies. As time went by, scholars developed new theories about summons and magic, and Mikatsu became somewhat of a scholar himself, constantly studying new ideas and theories about the balance of magic and technology in nature. After a time, his distorted mind finally convinced him that he could in fact obliterate magic from the world, and given the technological superiority of his kingdom, he could become the most powerful man in the world if he did so. In some of his struggles to achieve his purpose, Mikatsu lost a lot of blood and even some limbs that were replaced by metal, robotic appendages. Now a freakish combination of technology and cruel intentions, Mikatsu is bent on crushing all that stands in his way of containing and eventually eliminating magic from the world forever.
