Trance: Dark Arts: Magic changes to Dark Arts. While using Dark Arts, K'Tal's spells change to powerful spells, like Zidane's Dyne, most of the spells are evil in some form.

Soul (Daemon Head, a wave of evil spirits attack all enemies for massive damage)
Osmose (Sustained Tap, same as Osmose, but the mana continuses to be drained, slightly less powerful)
Drain (Leech, same as drain, only life continues to be drained, slightly less powerful)
Dark Shield+ (Unholy Barrier, same effect as Dark Shield only drains mana from whatever hits it as well)
Lightning (Reaver, calls forth several bolts of a black lightning to strike all foes)
Sonic Sword (Chasim, strike the ground with enough power to cause a
chasim to form, same effect as Quake)
*Decay - K'Tal touches someone or something causing decay wherever his hand reaches, spreading like a poison across the body, can only be stoped by turning to stone or through a holy spell. (Raise Dead - K'Tal focuses his power into the dead around him, re-animating them to his will, the dead remain animated until K'Tal untrances or for 5 minutes, whichever happens first.)
*Dark Aura - K'Tal emmits an aura about him, a near physical presence or
the bind between him and death. In trance this becomes more powerful,
slowly killing plants and animals within 15 feet, the closer they are to him, the quicker they die. It does not, however, work on any powerful plant or beast.
*Black Lightning - K'Tal points one hand outwards and a ball of black
lightning flies forth. This lightning is of the Dark element. (Black Dragon Head - instead of a ball of lightning, the power forms the form
of a black Japanese dragon, flying forth with ungodly power, also
Darkness element.)

Description/History: K'Tal is a wanderer. He used to be with others like him, vagabonds and theves, but he decided to try and find a better life after his master was killed by his best friend and most trusted companion. He has many scars over his body, but he refrains from talking about them much. They are caused from his last master, a truely twisted man who would harm others for his own pleasure. Those he didn't like, he killed in most painful ways, those he liked sledom fared better.
K'Tal was once the aprentance to a Thief Lord who took him in from the streets when he was only a child. He does not have any memories before he was raised by the Thief Lord. While in the Lord's entorage, he learned much in the black arts and in sword play. He has forgotten much of his past and all of the ways of the thief, and wishes sometimes that he would forget more. While he has been trained sence his youth dark things, he is kind at heart, even if he tries to hide that fact.
He stands about 5'6" and always seems to have a very calm demenior. He keeps to himself mostly, but will often travel with others in hopes of finding the company he has been looking for.
Several years ago K'Tal was ordered into a series of events that would change his life forever. It started with the failed theft of another king's magicite collection. A single knight managed to foil his attempt and force him to flee with but one magicite, Doomtrain. At the time he did not know how much that single event would change everything for him.
Several months later, a disgraced knight was brought into the men of the Thief Lord. Unbeknownst to anyone at the time, he was the same knight from the theft. K'Tal and Nathan, called the Darkstrike by Xiris and his followers, became quick friends and were raised in similar training.
In Xiris' sadasim, he fused an unstable piece on magicite with Nathan. The way that it was fused caused Nathan, now called Shadow, to be able to become his summon, a demon of increasing power as it grew. K'Tal was to be next after a proper piece of magicite as found. As they waited, K'Tal tought his friend some of how to control the new form of summon.
For no apparent reason to K'Tal, Shadow attacked him durring training one day. Durring the fight, Xiris himself came out and tried to destroy Shadow but was killed instead when Shadow finaily managed to call the Akuma within him. The fight nearly killed K'Tal and destroyed the band of thieves. Those of the remaining thieves scattered without a leader, leaving K'Tal for dead.
When K'Tal returned to consciousness, he had but scattered memories of his past. He wandered about the world, eventuaily going to the plains continent where he met with Shadow again. Currently, he does not remember that it is him that was once both best of friends and enemies.
