. Hack//SIGN X How To Play Guide

Please read this whole guide in contains all the rules of DHX and how to play DHX. Keep in mind that this site is a online-text rpg. Meaning you must possess some type of imagination. Because the only visuals you will get are pictures and gifs throughout the site. There are some updates that require basic addition and math, but other than that enjoy your time at DHX.

getting started:

  • First you must create a character. To do this you must go to the joining board. Follow the information at the top of the board which states. Give your name (doesn't have to be based off of the anime it can be orignal.) next give your characters gender (male, or female) after this is done give your characters personality (good or evil their is not neutral here.) After this is done I will need a valid email address and aim name from you so make this known somewhere in the message of the post. After this is done make your post and you will be joined within the next 24 hours. If you check back and you have not been joined with a period of 2 to 3 days make a new post because after 72 hours we consider all joining posts void. Keep in mind when joining please make a new post and don't post under anyone elses. If you post under someone elses post you will not be joined.

    the stats:

  • Below are listed the stats that we use to rate the overall strength of your character. Each stat is unique in its own way. There are items that can be found or bought throughout the site so that you may increase your stats making your character stronger.

    Strength (STR) - this is the overall power of your character this is used to calculate dame during battle also.

    Speed (SP) - this determines whether or not you evade oncoming attacks.

    Alchemy (ALC) - this lets your do magic based moves.

    Vitality (VIT) - when this reaches 0 you are dead.

    Invincibility (INV) - this determines whether or not you can withstand the damage inflicted towards you by an opponent.

    Mind (MI) - this lets you learn addition skills and abillities.

    Experience Points (EXPP) - this regulates your participation in battle with these points you can purchase special items that cannot be bought with regular credits.

    Level Points (LP) - level points are used to determine the level of your characters. The higher you are the more quests you are permitted to do and the more servers you are permitted to explore.

    the world:

    Alright the world is basicly a travel, battling, adventure access area. When your character has been registers you are now a part of the world and you will start in "Golderon City." This city is a starter city for all low level characters. In this city you can purchase items from the "Golderon Shop" and fight with other users who are in "Golderon City" there are no special adventures or quests that can be completed in Golderon City this is just a place to come and fight.

    traveling the world:

    To travel the world you must first purchase a pass. These special passes can only be bought in the EXPP shop. These passes enable you to travel to different servers throughout the world. After you have done this then go to the travel board. On this board you state where you are going, state the name of the pass you are using to travel to the destination in which you are going if you are taking any of your teamates, clanmates etc. state who is going with you. and then post your message after you post you message you are automatically connected to the server. NOTE!! when traveling to servers you can only travel to 3 servers per day.

    basic training:

    NOTE!! - below are examples of basic training that you can do in the world. There is more much powerful training that can be done throughout the world. When training you can only do one type per day. And training can only be done once a day. Also during training you ARE permitted to fight.

  • Sleeping - you all know what sleeping is. When you sleep you gain 5 STR and VIT. The more you sleep the better gain you will have have on your STR and VIT. Every day you sleep the amount you gain on you STR and VIT increases by 3 points. (ex. say for instance you slept for 2 days then you would be gaining 11 pts on STR and VIT.)

  • Cerebration Training - during cerebration training the user focuses his mind and body into a zombie like state. When the user awakens his ALC and MI level rises by 10 pts. Cerebtation Training is done in levels every 7 days you Cerebration train you gain an additional 10pts. (ex. say for instance you Cerebration Trained for 14 days then you would gain 20pts to your ALC. If you Cerebration trained for 21 days then you would gain 30pts to your ALC.) And so on and so fourth.

  • Sparring - when you spar you must spar with someone who is in an alliance with you (clan/teamate/beast if you have one). When you spar you gain 1/2 of your win stats. You do not get any money when you spar.

  • Endurance Training - the user runs in place increasing his SP and INV 30. Like "Cerebration Training" "Endurance Training" also works in levels every 7 days you Endurace train you gain an additional 20pts added on to your SP and INV gain. (ex. say for instance you are training for 14 days then you would gain 50pts on you SP and INV. The same as if you were training for 21 days you would add on an additional 20pts to your gain. So then you would be gaining 70pts. total.)

  • Move Training - this is the only type of training that does not allow you to fight. When you move train you do nothing (NO FIGHTING, NO TRAVELING ETC.) Move training can be done on any move. Everyday you move train the damage that the move inflict increases 10% of its original. (if you don't know how to figure this out take the damage of the move and multiply it by .1 the result in which you get from this is then added to the moves damage factor.)

    dying in the world:

    Every 14 losses you aquire you die. When you die you pay the toll and deduct 1/4 from all your stats including money and exp and post it on the training board. HEHEHEHE i added this little obstacle as to persay keep you all motivated. When you post on the training board make sure you put in the subject "Death Toll" upon the next day after your post you will then be revived by the almighty himself. MUHUHAHHAHAHHH!!! sucks don't it.

    battling effects:

    When fighting there are a number of effects that y ou can get in to the hender your progress of trying to defeat your opponent. Below is a list of these effects and what they do so that you can counter them if you can.

  • Self Status - when a self status effect occurs during battle the user pumps up his strength.

  • Move Status - when a move status effect occurs during battle the user uses its move to pump up an energy blast attack of some sort.

  • Physical Attack: - physical attacks are rated as any attack that is inflicted with a part of the body. These attacks include punches, kicks, headbuts etc.

  • Energy Blast: - energy blast attacks are rated as any attack that is inflicted with the use of alchemy.

  • Energy Slash: - this is a energy like swipe attack that is done with energy and added physical strength.

  • Energy Barrier Attacks: - these are barriers that can be used as defense or in some cases they can be used to attack or add extra damage to an attack.

  • Timestop Status - timestop attacks are rated as any attack that is done that causes the user to loose 1 or more turns. Timestop attacks can be countered with moves or body garments with timescape.

  • Revival Status - rated as any attack that can be used to bring 1 or more people back to life during the course of battle. All revival status abillities must be done 1 turn in advance.

  • Race Energy Blasts - race energy blast are the same as energy blasts. The only difference is that race energy blasts are somewhat stronger in move power.

  • Move Powerup Abillites - move powerup abillites enable the user to use energy to pump up a move to make it stronger so that is inflicts more damage on his enemy. These moves are very useful if your looking forward to over killing your enemy..
