(Note: Trunks's story intertwines with Pyne's story)
Trunks is a Saiyan who was born into royalty like his father who was known for his ability to keep his cool even when defeat was almost assured. Trunks was born a very powerful fighter blessed with the strength of his father but the pride of his mother. When Trunks was in his teens he use to go to a river by his house every day with a Saiyan girl named Laura who liked Trunks not for his power or for the fact that he was a royal, but for who he was. One day that Trunks and Laura where at the river they came across a baby in a basket floating down the river.
”Trunks! Look!” “What?” Trunks looks over to the basket floating down the river, Trunks then pushes the button on the side of his scouter, “What! There’s a baby in there! It has a power level of only point twenty-five… Poor little Saiyan must have been abandoned by his parents cuz of how weak he is.” Laura pushes Trunks’s arm, “Well what are you still doing?! Go get it!” Trunks then takes off his armor and scouter and dives into the river getting the basket and swimming back to Laura. Trunks hands the basket to Laura, Laura takes the basket and puts it in her lap and takes the baby out that’s wrapped in a black cotton blanket with barbed wire wrapped around it. Laura slowly begins to take the barbed wire off of the blanket, “Poor little guy! He must be in pain!” Trunks looks at the baby oddly, “Laura, why would that baby have barbed wire around him?” “I don’t know, its just crewel!” Laura finishes getting the barbed wire off of the baby and tosses the barbed wire into the river.
Laura then takes the blanket off the baby, “Oh my!” Trunks perks up, “What?!” “The baby… He doesn’t have a tail! Poor guy, who ever did this to him must have cut off his tail!” “Let me see him.” Laura hands Trunks the baby, Trunks takes the baby, puts him over his knee and pulls down the back of his pants, Laura looks at Trunks questionably, “What are you doing?!?” “Laura… This baby isn’t a Saiyan… He’s a human.” “What!” Trunks hands the baby back to Laura who wraps the baby back up in the black blanket. “Trunks, where do you suppose his parents are?” “Well judging on the baby, I’m betting his parents where either taken here or came here some how and got harassed by the wrong bunch of Saiyans, then after either killing or savagely beating his parents, they must have wrapped him up in barbed wire to torture his parents, then they more then likely sent him down the river and made his parents watch in pain...” Laura looks over at Trunks, “And you’d know this how?” “Put two are two together, a couple of human’s come to this planet with a baby, meet the wrong bunch, what do you think will happen.” “…Yeah… What do you suppose we should do?” “We take care of him.” “True…Poor little thing must be in pain, what should we name him?” “… Pyne.”
Trunks and Laura took care of Pyne for 2 years together until Laura was forced to leave planet Vegeta due to the condition of her father having gotten sick and needing the medical attention of Nameks. For the next two years Trunks spent training Pyne as much as he could, growing up on a harsh planet like planet Vegeta made Pyne grow up faster then normal human babies, Pyne already survived the harsh gravity change of 5 times earths normal gravity. Then Pyne was forced to mature and get strong to move even the slightest bit. Trunks stayed by Pyne and helped him along with every thing he had to do, Trunks understood that human babies could never normally life under such conditions, but lucky Trunks had access to a Rejuvenation Chamber so Trunks would put Pyne in the chamber to sleep or to relax. But slowly Trunks brought Pyne out of the Chamber for longer periods of time at a time to build up his endurance. When Pyne had reached the age of five he had a remarkable power level of around 400, but not long after reaching a power level of around 400, the fight between Bardock and Freeza broke out, Trunks quickly put Pyne in a space pod and sent him back to Earth. As Trunks turned around he saw Laura as soon as Trunks opened his mouth Laura had clubbed him upside the head and put him into a space pod and sent him off of planet Vegeta.
When Trunks woke he found himself on a strange planet, Trunks’s ship was in ruins so he stayed on the planet and trained for a couple of years with the natives. After about five or ten years Trunks had heard of a tournament going on on Niro 6. Trunks went to Niro 6 and attended the Tournament though not winning, but finding there was a new planet Vegeta, Trunks had thought he saw Pyne at the tournament but he was not sure he had. Trunks left for the New Planet Vegeta and is now trying to gather what he can of his life.
