As a result from Burk paying all his attention to Shuyin, all Burk’s creations died, all except his androids, which were later destroyed when Téles accidentally set off a bomb made in one of the androids, luckily Android 8’s Memory Circuits made it through the explosion without much damage. Another professor, Xero Langley later found Burk’s surviving products mainly scrap metal and pieces of useless material that at one point was useful for something or another, but among the debris, Xero found Android 8’s head, he took it to his lab and removed whatever was still intact, placing all her memory circuits into a new design of an Android off a series of biological androids, Androids 8’s new model, R-1783, later renamed Rikku modeled off of Xero Langley’s daughter.
Android 8, or Rikku still had full records of what had happened before the explosion, and tried to leave the planet to find Shuyin to find out why Burk neglected ‘her’ for ‘him’. Xero stopped Rikku and made a deal with her, that if she would stay and train to become a fierce fighter like his daughter once was, he’d tell her where Shuyin was located, Rikku agreed only on the condition that he would give her transportation to him.
Rikku was taught how to fly and fight using basic skills and strategy, after three years. Xero told Rikku that Shuyin lived on the outskirts of North City on Earth, Rikku traveled there on a Frostian Space Ship. She landed near North City and rushed toward the dwelling place of Shuyin, as she left the ship, the ship took off and went back to Xero’s Laboratory. As Rikku got to Shuyin’s location, she quickly hid seeing that Shuyin currently fighting a demon, Rikku took this as an opportunity to take records on Shuyin’s fighting abilities. After the fight, Shuyin who has won his fight left his opponent knocked out with a female Saiyan watching over him.
Rikku followed Shuyin without his knowing and studied how this ‘Supreme being’ is so special. Rikku started off her investigation with curiosity but as she began to think about how she was suppose to be and with her new found need to fight thanks to Charles Langley, Rikku began to plot against Shuyin. Shuyin stopped at a lake and dove in as soon as he got to it, Rikku watched with curiosity as Shuyin jumped back out from the lake holding an extremely large fish. Rikku’s eyes widen ‘HE ONLY HAS ONE ARM! BUT HOW DID HE BEAT THAT OTHER FIGHTER?!?!?’ Rikku followed Shuyin back to his house, Rikku watched silently waiting for Shuyin to go to bed.
After Shuyin cooked and ate the fish, Shuyin went strait to bed. Rikku snuck to his window and stayed there silently ’this is my chance… Shuyin will die…’ after waiting a couple of minutes, Rikku silently opens up Shuyin’s window and quietly sneaks inside and walks to Shuyin’s bedside without making a single noise. Rikku draws her hand back and spears her fingers down towards Shuyin’s throat, all of a sudden, Shuyin shoots his hand out and grabs Rikku’s hand and stops her merely one inch from his throat, Shuyin then tosses Rikku back and jumps out of bed landing on his feet and looking at his uninvited guest.
Rikku smirks, “Shuyin… I’m going to kill you!” Shuyin coldly looks at Rikku, “Eight.” Rikku takes a step back, “What did you say?” “Eight, Android 8.” “But… But how did you know it was me?” “I can feel your energy.” “Bullshit! Androids don’t have energy!” “Burk was not an average Scientist, you are not an average android.” Shuyin told Rikku more of Burk and his other experiments and how she is an android, but she was created from a living entity making her a living entity though possibly immortal, much like him.
Shuyin and Rikku stayed up all night talking, Rikku has now sided with her past, at least thus far.
