Samui Tamashii was in a Smuggling gang, a very large and popular one by the name of Tsetse Shogun. That was until his partner who betrayed the gang by telling the FBI the whereabouts of the Tsetse leader and framed Samui. Samui was chased down and burnt alive dying after 5 hours of severe pain. King Yamma sent Samui Tamashii to hell for heinous crimes he has done wile living. Samui decided to spend his time in hell training fueled by his anger. After a few years, Samui bet a demon that he was powerful enough to beat the demon. The demon laughed at Samui but took up the offer in which is Samui loses his soul belongs to the demon for all of eternity. Samui told the demon that in return told the demon that if he loses he must get Samui back to earth no matter what it takes.
After the fight, Samui had emerged victorious, so the demon in keeping his side of the bet used the force of all the souls he had gathered including his own and ripped a small hole in between hell and earth. In order for Samui to go through the hole, the demon turned Samui into a humanoid of fire for how he had died, upon doing so, the demon sent Samui through the hole returning him to the place where he has died. Samui in his condition was useless; he was simply a mass of fire and Energy with a human figure, in order to become whole, Samui needed to consume a living being.
To his luck, Samui spotted a Saiyan walking by, Samui ran to the Saiyan diving inside of him knocking the Saiyan to the ground. As the Saiyan stood back up, Samui had taken full control of his new body. But so was Samanosuke, the Saiyan that Samui has taken control of. Samui and Samanosuke both have control over the body making Samanosuke like a Schizophrenic, but Samui was mainly in control. Both people are aware of everything that the other does and says and both have the ability to use the body. Samanosuke was horribly angry with Samui and did everything in his power to not let Samui have control over his body, until the demon that sent Samui back to earth spoke to Samanosuke and Samui telepathically telling them that they can never be separated and that if they do not learn to get along that they will both die and Samui will return to hell bringing Samanosuke with him.
Samanosuke and Samui came to an agreement that neither one of them can do anything about their situation so Samanosuke learned to cope with Samui having control of his body. Samanosuke sensed he was much stronger then he was originally, Samanosuke and Samui agreed to call them selves the Damned. Samui told Samanosuke of what had happed in his life and what he did; Samanosuke agreed that he would assist Samui in his wish for revenge as they returned to the hideout of Tsetse Shogun and went on a rampage of bloody revenge slaughtering 384 of the people inside the hideout. After they where done, Samui and Samanosuke went to Tsetse’s house and they did to Tsetse what had been done to Samui, they burned him alive.
After having fulfilled what Samui had been training for, they trained to become even stronger. One day they had found a lake on the outskirts of North City, noticing that they were hungry, they decided to have fish for supper, they decided to jump in the lake and catching themselves the biggest fish they could find. At the same time, Shuyin was walking down his usual path to go fish with Rikku following a bit behind him. Shuyin thoughtlessly jumped in as Rikku's eye started blinking frostian symbols as her scouter was going off. ‘That’s weird, there are three people in the lake…’ Thought Rikku, Rikku thought this over for a few seconds, when a huge explosion went off in the water. Samui and Samanosuke along with Shuyin arrived at the surface of the water. Samui and Samanosuke fired a blast at Shuyin sending him flying backwards onto dry land sliding across the ground a bit.
Samui and Samanosuke fought non-stop with Shuyin for 30 minutes, as they stop, Shuyin smirks “So, what's your name?” “We are Damned, you are a good opponent, even though we know you haven't even started to use your full potential.” Shuyin looks strangely at Samui and Samanosuke, “We?” “I am Samui, I have taken the control of the Saiyan Samanosuke, and we have decided to call ourselves Damned for we are stuck together for eternity and will be sent to hell the day we are killed. What about you, what’s your name?” Damned points at Shuyin’s missing arm, “And what happened there?” “Explosion, long story... But, I am Shuyin, the leader of The Cold Flames, why di-” Rikku abruptly interrupts Shuyin, "How come you have two people inside you??"
Damned frowns, "Long story..." Damned laughs a second as Shuyin speaks, "Where do you live? How about joining my team?” ”We don’t live anywhere, we sleep where ever we feel like sleeping, and what’s your team name again?" "The Cold Flame, and I have an extra room you can sleep in.” “Alright… for now, only because its smart to be on a team when your weak." "Weak? Obviously you don’t know what it means to be on a team." "Whatever…" "Anyway, we will have mostly fish for supper since its free, we have Sprite and Mr. Pibb but don’t chug them down, or I'll have to kick your ass, you wont spend more than 20 minutes in the bathroom at a time, and you will not wake me when I’m sleeping unless you need me to kick someone’s ass or you and/or Rikku here is in trouble, if I find you or Rikku arguing over anything, that ‘anything’ will not be used for the rest of the week, and if I’m in a bad mood, a month. And if you have a problem you can leave." Damned chuckles, "You act like our moms, but we can cope with that."
