(This is a little BG story that'll give you a better feel for Korei.)
Korei is on the ground looking up at the sky as a falling star comes towards his direction. Korei looks closer at the star and soon realizes it’s a Saiyan space pod. As the pod comes closer Korei freezes with fear, the pod comes crashing down on top of Korei; Korei wakes up.
Korei quickly sits up from bed in a cold sweat, his heart pounding. Korei blinks his eyes and sighs in relief, ‘Only a dream...’. Korei flips his blanket off of him and turns sitting on the edge of the bed realizing a small child standing in his doorway, ‘Great...’
The small child smiles as she speaks, "Hey Korei! I’ve heard some stories about you." "Isn’t that special…" "I wanna hear a story!" “If I tell you a story will you leave me alone?” The child begins to start whimpering. "Alright, alright, but only if you promise to leave me alone." The child smiles happily and sits down with her legs crossed in a comfortable position; Korei looks at her, "What do you want to know...?" "How you came to live on Planet Vegeta." "Alright..."
"Well, years ago me and my friends were little Saiyan punks and we wanted to prove to our friends and family that we could do missions that adults could do...." “How many of you?” “There where six of us; Me, Kurai(Christina), Shibo(Dustin), Yoru(DJ), Hakai(James), and Evanas(Chelsea).” “Where are the other four?” “Well… When a meteor passed by our space pods, it directly hit 3 of our friend’s pods instantly killing them, ripping James’s pod open, and only slightly damaging mine and Kurai’s pods. When we landed I had to see James dead under his pod… The meteor was still after us…”
“Kurai! Wake up! Wake up!” Korei looks up, ‘oh my god-I have to…’ Korei quickly grabs Kurai and begins running off as a meteor smashes to the ground, Korei barely gets out of the blast radius -falling to the ground after being battered and beaten from the crash as well as running through trees and shrubs.
The little girl, covering her mouth, replying in a soft voice, "Oh...I'm sorry..." Korei looks at her, but continues, "...I woke up in a strange room in a Lodian village, my wounds had been bandaged, but Kurai wasn’t around, if it wasn’t for that linguist that was there… I don’t know what would have happened… He told me where she was and that she was fine... I remember our first encounters with the Gysolians-which may I add looks very similar to Dodorians… It was after we had lived there for what, a month? -They tried to attack the village, but we easily defeated those that came, they kept trying for another 2 years, only helping us train, we got stronger faster then they did, but then they stopped coming…”
Suddenly a series of explosions enters the village, Korei smirks, “They’re back…” Kurai smiles, it’s been what… 5-6 years since they last attacked? Ha-hah, this’ll be fun.” “Hopefully some competition!” Kurai looks at Korei “People are dying, come on, let’s help!” Korei rolls his eyes but still follows Kurai as they run towards the attack.
“Dunbar and Dammar where there attacking the village. We got them away from the village to the fields where all the cropping machines where, I remember how hard it was for me and her to take out the younger of the two, Dammar. As soon as we did, Dunbar was PISSED OFF!” Korei laughs, “Kurai doesn’t remember much after that.” “Why?” “Well that’s because Dunbar knocked her out, leaving me to fight him alone, my power level back then was what, 900?” The girl smirks, “Awesome!” “Heh, but I do know Dunbar’s power level was around 1,250… Before we took out Dammar.” “So… What happened?” “We fought for a while…”
Korei gets send flying backwards busting through a shed putting cuts all over his body from the tools and blades inside. Korei slowly gets up, ‘…fuck… shit… god damn it…’ Korei begins looking around frantically, “…Wh-where did he go…” Suddenly, Dunbar appears behind Korei shooting a blast of energy from his eyes sending Korei into a cropping machine. The Machine batters Korei around, Korei struggles to move but just can’t seem to do anything, Korei looks towards where he’s heading, ‘THE GRINDERS!’ Korei uses all the strength he has left to stand up, Korei then begins dragging himself across the conveyer belt, Korei begins slowing down and going backwards again as he falls back down Korei clenches his fists, ‘…FUCK!’ Dunbar laughs and watches Korei slowly being dragged to the grinding chamber.
“If it wasn’t for him…” Korei turns his head and closes his eyes, ‘…damn you…’ The girl stares at Korei questionably.
All of a sudden, Dunbar is sent flying to the side, a mysterious figure then jumps towards Korei as he falls, the figure catches Korei just before he lands into the grinding chamber carrying him out of the cropping machine and sets him down on the ground. Korei blinks and sighs with relief, as Korei Looks up at the man with blonde hair that falls to the top of his back. “You Korei?” Korei raises his eyebrow, the man shakes his head “Where are the other five?” “Dead.” “All of them?” “Except for one…” “You and…”
The man is suddenly cut short by Dunbar, who throws a Ki blast at the man who bends back, easily dodging. The man fights Dunbar as Korei is regaining his strength. After some time, Korei jumps in to attack Dunbar, the man kicks Dunbar hard in the chest as Korei sweeps his leg out tripping him, both Korei and Brian turn towards Dunbar, jumping into the air and kicking him in the back as he and his sword fly straight for the grinder. The sounds of bones crunching is heard; pieces of Dunbar fall into the collecting pit of the grinder; then a loud ‘CRACK’ is heard, the sound of steel breaking and scraping against other metals. Korei and the man look up in surprise as the grinder begins to spit out its bloody jam. Suddenly pieces of sword start flying out at high speed, seven shards flying straight for Korei and the man. Korei bends back to dodge the first, then rolls right to dodge the second, The man flips over the forth and ducks under the fifth, Korei moves his head left dodging another, as the seventh piece comes the man looks up unexpectedly, the blade nicking above the man’s right eye cutting it almost to the bone.
“FUCK!” the man clenches his eye with the palm of his head holding the cut with his fingers as blood begins to drip down his nose. Korei walks over to the man lifting his head up, “Let me see!” The man turns his head away, “I’ll be okay… Fuck…! So where’s that other Saiyan?” Korei points to the fallen woman a few yards away from them. Brian turns and sees her, “Evanas…? And you must be Korei?” “That’s Kurai, as for me.” Korei points to the Saiyan Elite symbol on his outfit, Brian smirks, “Hmf, you don’t speak much do you?” Korei shrugs his shoulders and picks up Kurai.
The little girl shifts positions so she is laying on her stomach, “What happened after that?” Korei moves from his bed and onto the floor in front of her, lying on his back, “Well, me and Brian went back to his ship where a couple of Saiyans where fighting off a couple of Gysolians. We took care of them, then I collected our things and we left.” The girl's eyes light up as she hears Brian's name, but stops before she says anything, hoping Korei hadn't noticed; to her luck he doesn't. The girl turns her head to the side, “But what about the Lodians?” “Well Brian took care of that, he sent a handful of Saiyans to Loda.” “What?! You let him do that?!? After all the time you lived there you still didn’t care about them did you!?!” Korei laughs, “Brian sent them to take care of the Gysolians and to trade with the Lodians, Brian wouldn’t do anything evil like taking over a planet like Loda; Brian is different then any Saiyan I have ever met.” “Is that why you talk to him?” “…Among other reasons…”
”Anyways, we got back to Planet Vegeta, Brian got Vegeta to give us a house. Brian didn’t want to ask Vegeta for too much, so me and Kurai live in the same house here together.” The girl smiles, “I wish I could find my love..” “Wow now, just because we live together doesn’t mean we are together, Kurai is like my sister.” “Sure… He-he.”
Korei takes a deep breath, "Alright now, I've given you what you want..." The girl smiles happily after being satisfied, "Alrighty, but I wont be gone forever you know..." "Yeah, I know, fucking curse..." "Why do you call it a curse, to other people its a gift." "Yeah, I gift I didn't want to be born with, why couldn't I tell the future or something more useful and less annoying?" The girl sticks her tongue out at Korei and Korei smiles in response, the girl giggling after, she waves, "Byeeeeeeee..." then fades away as if she was never really there. Kurai walks in, rubbing her eyes drowsily, "Who's here?" "No one" "I thought I heard you speaking to someone" "Nope, you must be hearing things again." "Oh come on! You told Brian!" "Told him what?" "Why you speak to yourself all the time..." "Who told you that?" "Brian did..." Korei grumbles and stands up, grabbing his shirt and sword and heading out the door...
