1) A dilemna occurs. A solution has been tried...but there is more than one solution. At that moment, any guild member can go to the Great Hall and post a thread calling for a vote.
2) The Guild Leader, Mersiah, will then set up a formal thread in which to vote. On this thread she will state the following things: How long the poll is open (minimum of 5 days), What the issue is, and what the options are.
3) The officers go to the forum. In order for the officer to cast a vote, they must POST a reply to the thread stating their decision so that all guild members can see what the officer voted. Officers are encouraged to postpone a few days before voting so that they can talk to guild members and gain further insight on the issue.
4) Guild members can go to the forum and vote on the anonymous poll. Also, they are encouraged to post a reply with their opinions, to help guide the officers. This can come important later on.
5) At the specified time that the poll is to end, the thread is locked, and voting ceased. At that moment, the Guild Leader tallies the officer's votes, and issues the decree. That decree is the decision over the solution.
6) However...at the specified time, if less than 50% of the officers have voted, the Guild Leader than turns to the anonymous poll. The anonymous poll will than be used as the official vote.
7) Also, in the advent of a tie in the officers vote, the anonymous poll will be used as the tie breaker.
8) Furthermore, if 90% of the anonymous vote supports one decision, it automatically overrules all votes by the officers, since it is the obvious will of the guild to procede among that course of action.
9) The Guild Leader, Mersiah, does retain the right, to declare a "Lack of Participation" on a vote. This is done if less than %50 of the guild votes. In this event, the Guild Leader can either: Postpone the vote or extend the voting period...or...make a decision.
If you have questions with these provisions...please respond in the Great Hall and ask questions.
