Dark Age of Camelot is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (or MMORPG) set in three different competing realms. The realms of Midgard, Hibernia and Albion are locked in a constant struggle to control land and keeps.
Midgard is made up of Norsemen, Trolls, Dwarves, and Kobolds. Norsemen are hearty strong men of the northern reaches. Trolls are a powerful but slow race suited best to be fighters. Dwarves are a rugged people that are strong with magic and fighting prowess. Kobolds are a small yet fast race who find their place as powerful magic users and cunning assassins and hunters.
Hibernia is composed of Celts, Elves, Firbolgs, and Lurikeens. Celts are humans that prove well suited to almost any profession in Hibernia. Elves are strong with magic and make for powerful mages as well as rangers. Firbolgs are large strong creatures who are equally strong with magic as well as being very good fighters. Lurikeens are a very small, very fast race who make their talents useful as mages and assassins.
Albion is a realm of human races. Britons, Avalonians, Highlanders, and Saracens all fight for the glory of Albion. Britons are skilled at all professions in Albion. Avalonians are powerful magic users and decent fighters. Highlanders are strong and resilient, often proving to make the best fighters in Albion. Saracens are smaller than the other Albion races but make up for that with quickness and dexterity, proving well suited for rogue classes.
I am a fan of the game and have been playing it for quite some time. Having played some in all realms I know a little bit about each from within each realm. But Midgard is my favorite realm so a majority of what I know abu the other two realms comes from having to face them in battle.
