Wolf Ranks for the Crescent Moon Wolf Pack:

Alpha

Pack commanders. Alphas lead the pack, discipline for bad behavior, accept newcomers and are simply in charge. Everything that goes on in the land of their pack is under their control, and what an Alpha says should be considered law.

Beta

The Alphas' closest advisors and aides, responsible for being where the Alphas cannot be and seeing what the Alphas do not. In the event that one Alpha is not present, the Betas should aid the other Alpha in his or her duties when requested. When neither Alpha is present, the Betas are in charge.

Delta

Pack peacemaker and ambassador. Responsible for making sure pack members are getting along, and settling any disputes that arise. Also acts as an ambassador for the pack by mediating issues that arise between their pack and other packs. When needed, they also bring messages from one pack to another.

Gamma

The Gamma acts as an assistant to any pack member who needs an advisor. Specifically Alphas, Betas and the Delta at the Borders, when a newcomer is seeking acceptance into the pack. Since only Alphas, Betas, Deltas and the Gamma may Inquire newcomers, this rank could be considered very prestigious- trespassers who impress a Gamma are likely to find favor with the pack Alphas.

Medic

Medics aid mothers during birth and help care for newborns- and can puppysit when the parents of the pack need a break. They also treat the sick and help the injured heal. Medics may not use magic- only plants and other natural resources that can be found in the CM area, as well as their elemental abilities...in other words, no hocus pocus.

Scout

The common rank of the CM pack, a Scout assists newcomers and does whatever wolves in a pack do. They keep the pack running smoothly, assisting the higher ranking wolves in keeping the lands clear of intruders, ect...

Omega

Furthest down on the chain, often the most playful wolf who has one of the more important jobs in the pack: stress relief. Omegas provide much needed chances for relaxation by starting games and keeping things fun. Much like the way a jester would function in a castle.
