why Cid Highwind and Tifa Lockheart are the best unconventional FF couple

• Although it is blatantly obvious that Tifa is in love with Cloud throughout FFVII, in my opinion, it is also obvious that Cloud's romantic feelings lie with Aeris
• While in many ways, Cid and Tifa have completely different personalities, in many ways they are very similar. Both are tough, both have a hard time conveying their emotions, etc. I feel that if given the opportunity, they would understand each other better than anyone else could
• perhaps the best support for my argument can be found in reading a fanfiction i found written by Frank Verdosa and Jen Bond called Balance of Power
