Positions
There are 5 types of positions but 8 players can be in the court.

Center - He is the centerfield and the quarterback of the team. He is the playmaker and supposed to draw as much attention away from the real action. Even still, the Center is as highly capable as scoring as any other position.

Wing - The Wing are the star players of offense. Their job is to bust through the defense and score points. While they must be physically tough, their most important attributes should be speed, agility, and elusiveness.

Skill - The Skill is the athlete's position. He is regarded as the last resort on both offense and defense. His main job is to get good field positions for his team. These players should have large amounts of stamina and toughness.

Guard - These players are the pressure of the game. They make sure the game has a fast tempo and try to screw up the rhythm of the opposing team. They are also the first line of defense and also crucial to the offense.

Tackle - These are the biggest players in the arena. They are the blockers and roadblocks that create chaos on the field and obscure the center's vision. They are on the same line of defense and offense as the Guards.

Formations
Formations maximize the effectiveness of the team. They should key the strong points of the team. Formations can confuse the other team, causing erratic and wrong decisions. Even the weakest team can defeat the strongest team if they use their formation to the maximum potency.
Note - All formations (offense and defense) have 2 down Tackles at all times.

Offensive Formations

I Formation - Two Guards are down to create havoc on the defense and create gaps for the ball carrier. The Center lines up between but further back than the Guards. The power Wing lines up several feet behind the Center and the speed Wing lines up several feet behind the first Wing. The Skill is several yards off to the side to relieve some pressure.

Split Wing - Two down Guards. The Center starts off behind and between the Guards. The two Wings are spread apart slightly further than the Guards but at the same depth. The Skill is down the line.

Shotgun Tight - Two down Guards. Center starts off several yards behing the Guards. Wings are at the same depth but to the Center's opposite sides several yards in between. The Skill is down the line.

Shotgun Wide - Two down Guards. Center starts off in same position as Shotgun Tight. Wings are spread out wide down the line. The inside Wing splits the difference between the Skill and the Guards.

Defensive Formations

4-2 Man - Two Guards apply pressure going head to head with the other Guards. The Center keys the opposing Center. The Wing covers the first player outside on his side or the man furthest back if he has no one on his side. Skill is responsible for the closest player to the Center.

4-2 Cover - Two Guards apply pressure. Wings have man responsibilities. The Center plays the short play and the Skill plays anything that gets past his teammates.

3-3 Zone - The two Guards and the Center apply pressure. The Wings play their side of the field. The Skill has anything that leaks through.

2-4 Prevent - The Guards apply pressure. The Wings contain everything inside. They play man coverage if they get beat. The Center plays deep half on the strong side, the side the opposing skill is on. The Skill plays deep half on the weak side.

Scoring
Three points are scored if you can carry the ball into the 10x10 yard scoring area.
One point can be scored if you can throw the ball into the 1x1 yard scoring pen.
