Many years ago, a child was born to Llaryander and Siobahn Flarestorm who were both powerful and loyal High Elves in service to the throne. Llaryander Flarestorm was a high level Wizard of the 51st Circle and Siobahn Flarestorm was a high level Enchanter of the 50th Circle. Both of them were so happy and proud when their first child was a boy that they named Saldadar.
Llaryander and Siobahn took great pride in their son and raised him to be kind, polite, very well mannered, full of spirit, with a very open heart and mind, and with a deep sense of awe and respect for the magical forces throughout the world of Norrath. During his childhood years he was taught that the forces of Magic were used by over half of the occupants in Norrath and was a key part to the world's growth.
Just as Saldadar was coming to the young age where he could start aspiring to train in a magical art, Llaryander and Siobahn were sent on a secret journey on command of the King and with regret, left Saldadar with Llaryander's Brother, Ellryn, a Master Arch Mage of the 70th Circle, who took Saldadar under his wing and began with the opening of his mind.
Ellryn was surprised to notice early on during his lessons, Saldadar has a natural affinity for the elements and seemed to be in complete harmony with them. One evening, Ellryn decided he needed to have a long talk with the young boy on this matter. Saldadar was overjoyed to be able to take after his Uncle in the Elementalist Arts because he felt such a keen empathy with the living forces. Also during this revelation, Ellryn also noticed how much of the wanderer's spirit Saldadar was showing and on one specific night came one of the biggest decisions the young Saldadar would ever make.
"Sal, I want to talk to you about the deities." Ellryn said
"Ok Uncle, What about them?" Saldadar replied.
"You have been reading the books on Norrath's early history correct?"
"Of course Uncle, What about it?"
"Have you ever thought as to which god your morals, feelings, and spirit have most closely pulled you to?"
To this unexpected question, Saldadar closed his eyes as if seeking direction from his heart and after a long moment of deep thought he replied with a sureness he had not known before, "I have come to realize how much my ideals coincide with Lord Karana, The Rainkeeper"
At the answer, Ellryn smiled and patted Saldadar on his shoulder. "My boy, I too worship Lord Karana, and if you would like, I can tell you more about him."
Saldadar beamed as he replied with much vigor, "I would love that!"
After many more years of learning the ways of Karana, as well as the ways of the elements, the day came for Saldadar to begin his training and begin his training with a note to the Magician's guild under Niola Impholder. Full of nervousness, Saldadar approached the teleporter on Embark Isle, that would take him into the Ruby Palace. He turned around to see his Uncle Ellryn smiling at him and with a wave he said, "Good luck Sal, You will make Magician's all across norrath proud and you will be a name among names some day." and with a wave of his hands, Ellryn vanished in a mass of bubbles and sparkles as Saldadar walked through the door and onto the teleporter which took him right outside the door to the Magician's guild.
Takling a deep breath, saying a warm goodbye to his childhood, and a big hello to his new and wonderous life, he stepped in the door and began his first of many journies through his life.
