History After years in the military, John Smith took a job in the NYPD and rose to the ranks of detective. He was soon laid off after an investagation on his last case and began traveling. He knew Joe Silverstone by meeting him as was handling a case involving his father's corporation. When Joe moved to Carson City John decided to go with him and open up his own service as a P.I.
