Details of form: Sunclaw Harpies are the males, they're the classic "evil" looking bird-men. Their chests are human like, but their heads and lower bodies are bird like with Wings on their backs and arms with bird like claws and feet. They are cruel, vicious and evil creatures that prey on any who enter their territory and can't escape their claws.
The Moonowl Harpies are Female though. Their torso and heads are human like and pronounced more by heavy busts and wings for arms. Their waist down is Bird like, but their beauty is that alluring blend of both races. They keep to themselves and fiercely defend their roosts from their own males as the males do often kill the young that isn't carrying their scent. This has also led to numerous misunderstandings as the females attack any male of any species.
Since both Clans share the same mountain home, squabbles are constant and since neither race has ever cared to advance technologically, their growth is rather stunted and both clans are viewed as nothing more than animals or monsters.

History: The history of the Harpy clans is simple. They were born, and chose to remain as they were at birth. They have little in the way of Culture since they are often to busy killing and fighting one another. In recent years (3323 A.L. - Ancient's Love) the Sunclaw Clans converged and actually started a war with the Erdite population at the foot of their mountains. Unfortunately their attack ended up causing harm to a number of children which included a Rishishka child of the Fairwind family. The response from the Rishishka was swift and merciless. Punishment meted out was a number of the Moonowl's taken as slaves to 'thin the herd' and keep the Sunclaw's in the mountains fighting over the remaining Moonowl's.
This did cause a modicum of Culture to sprout out within the Harpy clans, as Male's now work to shower a female with gifts and displays of strength to win their affection. For the two hundred Moonowl females who were taken as slaves, they have adapted to Culture swiftly and a few who returned to their homes have tried their best to bring more understanding to their own, though often times failing and returning to the more 'civilized life' of being owned by Rishishka.
The Harpies and Omerian races are joined together as the youngest Races of Eluris.
