Judical System

Decree of the Court
Within the government of Archison Inc, accusations of guilt are taken seriously.  We do no tolerate those who spread conspiracies and lies.  Yet every accusation we find to bear some credence will be investigated with unrelenting objectivity unto all parties involved.  You, as a patron of this government, are encouraged to use the Court to settle disputes and to litigate problems between parties.  We hold basic principals above all else.  The truth is all we ask for.  If you are found to be belying yourself during hearing or testimony, the forum shall press charges against you, which may result in fines or other methods of restitution.  With our current Judicial Staff, we find it necessary to lay out a system of crimes/injustices that are worthy of being brought to trail.

Serious Offenses Worthy of Trial
Assault upon the defenseless:  E.g.  Children, pregnant women, and elderly.

- Rape or any forced attempt of that nature.

- Treason:  E.g.  Any act that is done with intent to cause harm to the body of government under which we reside and/or against it's member guilds and/or obtain information that is kept in strict confidence with the intent to release said information to inappropriate sources.

- Threats of severe bodily harm causing a reasonable fear for one's safety and well being.

- Fraud (faking of dice, strength, position, and other such matters).

- Attempted Murder - The attempt of killing a living being, most commonly by an AA, but can also be in the simple form of active room Role play where there are 10 or more lines of actions that would lead to a death without medical attention.

- Important Note:  In order for a fore mentioned AA to be deemed as Murder, the Assassin must either fail the needed Hits to Kill and the target have fled or the Target must have seen the Assailant during perception.  This applies for the Target's Bodyguards as well, the Assailant must have been legally spotted under Archison Inc. rules of Assassination.

Lower Level Offenses Worthy of Trail
- Harassment (repetitive annoyances of a guild or person).

* This includes but is not limited to continual disruption of a guild recruiting building and unceasingly disrupting the lives of those within the forum (be it with threats of violence or acts of sexual perversion in public).

Terms of Trial
- A date will be set for trial.  If any party finds that they can not make said date, it is their sole responsibility to contact the Chief Justice to schedule a new date for the trial.  If you fail in this the case shall either be thrown out of court or fines will be levied upon said missing parties.

- Any witnesses that either the plaintiff and or defendant wish to bring to trial, must be made known to the Chief Justice, no less than 2 days before trial, or they will not be permitted to speak at the hearing.

- You may bring with you, legal counsel (lawyer) but notification of this must be given to the Judicial Department within 2 days of trial.  If you wish for legal consultation but can  not find it, contact the Judicial Department and it will be found for you.

- The Death penalty is mainly reserved for cases which pose risk to the forum or it's smaller governments, and cases which deal with acts of extreme malice.  If you are given the death penalty, it will be carried out by either the Cheif Warden or an Assistant Warden.

Rules For the Charging of Crimes/Rights of the Accused
- The Plaintiff (the one pressing said charges) must be able to show proof of the said crime.  This said proof must be within the norms of this realm.  Spectral Evidence (evidence that can not be shown do to it's occurrence outside of our realms and outside the body) shall not at any time be allowed as the sole basis of proof.  It is the sole duty of the Plaintiff to provide needed evidence.

- The Defendant (the one accused of said crime) is at all times considered to be innocent until such time as sufficient burden of proof has been reached, and the defendant is unable to validly dispute the evidence laid down against him.  The Court will at all times remain objective and impartial in these sensitive proceedings.

- Under no circumstance shall cruel and unusual punishment be levied upon the accused if they are convicted of said crime at aforementioned hearing.  In matters of malicious assault upon children, and the elderly, a convicted person might be subject to receiving the same treatment they gave to the victim, as part of their sentence.
