Jeru the Damaja, Come Clean

Tashaun Jackson & Paula Abdul at a music industry party sponsored by Tina Wolf just before his embrace.

Tashaun Jackson lived an uphill battle for a life.  He was for the most part a loner, for some reason he could'nt relate to most people so he couldn't fit in.  He had a good heart, but had the tendency to be cold and cutthroat.  There was more to life than met the eye, and Tashaun felt like he was the only one who was unsatisfied with society and where it was headed.  He grew up in the hostile environment of Brooklyn's East New York.  His family was dysfunctional, and anyone who has ever lived in New York knows that one's lifelong friends can become enemies without notice and for no reason.  He knew that Brooklyn did not have to be as screwed up as it was, somebody or some group wanted it this way.  Little did he know how right he was.  He now knows that Brooklyn has been the domain of the Sabbat, the Giovanni, and Followers of Set for a long, long time.  Rather than using his anger as an excuse live the life of a worthless thug, Tashaun put all of his emotions into hip-hop and rapping.  In time, he became an adept lyracist.Little did he know how right he was.

Tashaun left New York to go to college at Coppin State College, then later transferred to Morgan State University.  When growing up in Brooklyn, Tashaun was led to believe that black people who did bad things did so because they lacked
knowledge of self, while white people were inherently evil.  His experience in college proved that nothing could be further from the truth.  He met many black people who knew right from wrong, knew their history, and still treated eachother with utmost hate and hostility.  He learned of how administrators and city officials exploited everyone regardless of race.  He had learned of a secret society of wealthy, powerful black people whose job was to keep black people in check.  During Tashaun's junior year at Morgan State, he was accosted by a wanna-be thug over the interest of a young lady.  The two fought, and the thug wanna-be lost.  Since his mother was a lawyer and alumnus, charges of assault were filed against Tashaun in spite of the fact that he did not start the fight and he was expelled.  Tashaun was also jumped by the guy's friends and put in the hospital.  The University buried the case.
