Word of the Giovanni's depredations spread like the clap and action would be taken. The mob, teamsters, and street gangs all coordinated an attack on Giovanni holdings. The mayhem was specifically started during the daytime and by the time the Giovanni vampires woke up, they were pinned into their havens by the ensuing fires and explosions. Antonio Giovanni appealed to Aldred Von Ostenwald, the former Prince of Baltimore. Von Ostenwald, without consulting the primogen, declined to help Antonio, since it was obviously an internal problem and no proof of Sabbat or Anarch sabotage was evident. Millions of dollars in assets were lost that night and Antonio was pissed. He nullified the alliance with the Camarilla and allowed the Sabbat to flank the Camarilla from east Baltimore. The Sabbat destroyed the Tremere Chantry in the Bromo-Seltzer Tower, and then routed the rest of the Camarilla out of the city. This was all a direct result of the underworld information that Carlito provided the Caitiff; some of whom were Anarchs. Needless to say, it is a secret that Carlito wishes to keep to himself. |

Thomas Harris knew that Carlito would soon come to the Outriders for protection, thus indebted to them he would become one of them. Harris was wrong. A Sabbat pack known as The Jump Squad (After King of New York's Jimmy Jump) bumped into Carlito and tried to recruit him. They even went so far as to tell him that they had planned to war with the Giovanni too. They were lying, but nevertheless had no idea how much truth was in their words. It did not take the Giovanni long to figure out who was responsible for their misfortune and was on Carlito's @ss. Susanna herself was given the mission to strike back, and she had already taken out 2 Caitiff. As she tracked Carlito, she saw him meet up with the Sabbat and immediately contacted Antonio via cell phone. Antonio in turn contacted Archbishop Kroeber, and told Kroeber that The Jump Squad attacked his clan for trying to destroy a rogue Caitiff that they had wished to recruit. "I tried to be diplomatic about it but it was clear that they were beyond words, so we had to destroy them all. I thought we were allies now. Why did your pack disrespect us like that?", asked Antonio. Kroeber sensed some level of deceit in Antonio's words, but he ultimately let the issue go. He needed to hold the alliance in place for now, especially in lieu of one of his packs pissing off Tavalkus, whom Kroeber wanted no parts of. Kroeber gave Antonio no ill will about the event, assuring him that no retribution will take place. |
