Escape

A young new ghoul, who hated Lady Kier, started caring for Autumn. She brought her, the chalaces of blood, and a bit more often than the others did. Brought her something to brush her hair, let her have a bath more often as well. She had came across Autumn's things, and memorized where they were. Most of this ancient castle was in ruin anyway, but parts still stood. It was so deep in the moutains, that it was only a legend, that few sought out. Those who did, died, and most learned not to follow it.
Lady Kier was called away on business, and was to be gone for a month. The young ghoul, who waited a week after the, evil mistress was gone, went and got Autumn's things from the hiding place. Still very much preserved. She also used her money and savings to get her some needed items. A sleeping bag, a canteen, a huge bag to put everything in, and many other things. She found someone in the camarilla, and being a ghoul talked to them. He was an old wise man, and she asked him a good place to send a Kindred who had spent her life under torture. He gave her a few names of a few places, but did not ask, fearing for the young womans life.
The young ghoul picked a place, and got a plane ticket. One of the Nosferatu helped her with this plan, having grown tired of the moody Russian vampire. They devised a plan, and the night after the first week of Lady Keir's absense, led Autumn up from the catacombs. They led her not in the way, she was normally led, but the way out. The place she had forgotten had existed.
They stepped outside, and Autumn got her first look at the night sky in over two centuries. She took off her old and tattered shoes and ran to the grass. She started crying, the red tears streaming down her face as she got her wish. The wish to be free for only a moment, to feel the grass and to see the sky. She took a deep breath of air into her dead lungs. She found some wildflowers and sniffed them, she sat on the grass and played with it, much like a child would.
Thats when the young ghoul and the old Nosferatu knew they were doing the right thing. They told her how long she had been here. The Nosferatu handed her her old bag, and told her there were many changes in the world, but she was going someplace where she could be free forever.
She put on her old and tattered shoes, until the young ghoul handed her a new pair. Nothing fancy, just something she could slip on and off easily. Autumn cried more, and they led her to the car. She was terrified of the strange looking thing, the box on wheels, that was shiny. They told her it was safe and they would be with her. They took her to the small airport, where things were set up for her to travel. Private plane, the Nosferatu had a trusted ghoul to go with her, so she would be safe.
The silver hollow bird, known as a plane, scared her more, but finding out she wouldn't be alone she calmed some. She was placed in a box, and was told the ghoul would protect her. That the box was for her safety and, that the ghoul would let her out some so she could get some exercise.
The trip was made fairly slowly, just for her. Two days later she was set down in Necropolis, Missouri. The start of a new life, and hopefully a good one. The ghoul gave her some money, all he had on him, then prepared to make his trip back, after explaining what it was and how to use it. He told her to find the prince, and present herself, and he would help her find a way to settle into the city.
Jorun, in new shoes, took a new name, Autumn Raine. She set bravely forth to discover this new city, this new time era, and perhaps a home and a true family.
