Short Guide to Crystal Caverns

First off, when actually going in to the zone in in EW, please invis or at least shout that you may train to the zone. The zone in is a crystal inside a shack at the back of the orc fort.
I can't remember if rangers get lev at 33, but if they don't you'll need it from someone. Invis is also crucial too.
When you zone in, you'll find yourself in a dark tunnel. Sometimes people med here, which is usually where I ask for a lev/invis.
If you go forward around one corner, you'll see a huge gaping hole to your right known as the "pit". This is where lev comes in handy. You can do it without lev, but you'll take some damage jumping from ledge to ledge... make sure you have invis, because the orcs will see you no matter what and the guards in town kill orcs very very slowly.
Once you reach the bottom, you're pretty much home free. Some people like to fight right here, camping the named orcs, or others go in the hallway near the bottom and pull to there. The hallway is a safer pull it seems, however not completely as there is one spawn and sometimes a wanderer.
As I was saying, at the bottom there is a ledge running up the pit, and an entrance to a cave/tunnel. Go in the cave/tunnel and turn right. You should run though a couple rooms till you reach town. Most people can't bank/sell here, but everyone is safe here unless you've killed the dwarves here. Yes, these dwarves are a different faction than the ones in Thuragin. Melee's can't bind here. I think casters can if someone else casts bind on them, although I'm not sure. I've heard varying reports on this one.
There are two exits besides the one you came in from. One is one that leads to a cavern with dwarves wandering around. This one is kinda useless, fun to explore but there's really nothing of interest unless you came for the scenery. The other entrance leads you to the harder parts of the zone, including the queen herself.
As you follow this tunnel, you'll reach a room with a broken bridge, and numerous Stalag Terrors around it. You can usually make it through the room without aggro'ing any of them, these guys are pretty much all green to a 45. Past the broken bridge room, you'll go through a dragon skeleton and then up some steps. This is where most groups meet to either do the Queen room, or the Terror room. There are two terrors on either side of the ledge past the stairs. On the opposite side of the stairs, there is a pool, with 3 entrance ways. The one to the far right is an alternate exit. The tunnel in the middle, brings you to the Queen room, and the far left brings you to the terror room.
Getting to the Terror and Queen room requires killing low level and then increasingly harder mobs, spiders and terrors respectivly. Breaking the Queen room can sometimes be tough as there can be up to 3 named mobs up, and unless you have a good chanter you'll pull the entire room. Nowadays there are many high levels farming the hallway spiders for silk, so sometimes they'll help you break the room if you give them some spider silk (great for tailoring, stackable). Once it's broken, you can either pull to the hallway to avoid the annoying snake things that spawn in there as well, or just fight inside the Queen room (I like inside better myself).
The terrors are pretty self explanitory, and I think they're easier to camp. There are two different named mobs that spawn here, both in the hallway or in the large room itself. Somepeople like the loot better than the Queen, however the Queen drops alot more stuff because there are 3 named.
My suggestion is try to get in a Queen group if you can, if not hunt orcs until you can get in one. It's a great experience and teaches good group experience. For low level groups who are just getting by, enchanters are really helpful as they'll mez the low blue spiders while you can focus on the harder mobs. I got great experience up to level 40, however you could partner this spot up to 45 if you really liked it. The loot isn't bad either, definatly worthy for twinks.
Goodluck, CC was good to me, I hope it's good for you.
