Braen Hills

    These bleak hills stretch between a triangle formed by the towns of Ruti, Tarsh and Obaltion. These hills are rich in copper which is mined by the humans of Ruti. They are also the home to numerous tribes of goblins. There used to be a trade route, the "Old Road", that went from Ruti to Tarsh but this has fallen into disuse over the last hundred years due to both goblin banditry and a renewed increase in river traffic down the Ruling River. The hills were scorched to bare earth in the distant past by a dragon named Ashardalon, which was in league with a Dark Elf dragon cult during the Uttermost War. Peasants mother's still tell bad children that Ashardalon will "get them" to make them behave.
