The
Bandit Woods - armor set # 3
***map***
From
the Vetallun Road mark go to the Vetallun Crossroads mark (type: walk
to cross). Along the way watch the grasslands passing by to the north
of you. When this changes to forest (of any kind) you have reached the
Bandit Woods. Type stop, then go into the woods and wander around
until you find a bandit.
When
you are finished hunting just walk south, you'll stop on the road
automatically (can't go any farther because the road borders the river).
From there you can walk to any mark you like.
Bandits
are notoriously difficult to find and it is rumored that if there are large
numbers of players in the woods they will hide out (you won't find any).
Despite their rarity, they tend to carry a much more valuable bounty of
stones than even that found in rat stomachs. Be careful though. As spear
wielders they are prone to use the impale attack which, if successful,
will throw you to the ground unable to attack or defend until you stand
up again. As bandits usually appear in numbers of 1-5, this often gives
the bandit's buddies time to get a few good thrusts in on you while you
are down.
Bandits
armor, boots, coin, chests
There
is more than one type of bandits, though all have the same general gear.
Such are the "man with a crooked nose", the "rough looking man", etc. Each
varies in skill and attributes slightly and, I think, in the treasure they
carry as well. The differences are not all that pronounced so if you can
take one type you can usually take any of them.
Archer
bandits
(Haven't
actually ever got to one of these yet. His fellows always seem to protect
him and I usually get worn out before I go through all of them. When I
finally take one down I will post my impression of him here. Until then
I will assume he is weaker than the others as he always seem to need protection.
If you have details of the archer bandit please post them in the Messageboard
on the front-page of this website).
