Background
Danielle, or Dani as she prefers
to be called comes from a small colony on a remote planet called Degua
III. The planet is situated in an area of space full of natural hazards
and because of this, once a year, the colonists of Denua III and surrounding
colonies held shuttle races throughout the region. These races were very
competitive and very dangerous.
Dani knew she was destined
to race as soon as she sat behind the controls of her dad's shuttle for
the first time. It wasn't long before she was racing in the Denua III
sub-light contests.
She was good, and made a lot
of the older racers jealous. She then became subject to a lot of prejudice
and sabotage attempts on her shuttle. She was determined not to let them
win, but also she grew tired of it at the same time. She entered one last
race, and despite fearce competition and won. It was then that she left
the races and headed for the academy. She figured she might as well put
her flying skills to good use.
She graduated as a pilot from
the academy in 2384. She was assigned to the Deep Space 11 facility carrying
out cargo runs from the station to sorrounding systems. When the USS Ronin
docked there two months later, she was reassigned as a relief helmsman.
She performed the duties of
full ships helmsman for a month while Lieutenant McMillan was on Earth.
 Personality
Dani, is probably as open minded
a person as you could meet, but is fiercly competitive and will do anything
to win.
