The Maquis, now headed by former Starfleet Officers-Thomas Riker and Chakotay, are the Federation's latest threat. While before, the Maquis were stragglers and disidents, they are now a uniform and tight nit structure. Apparently, under the guidance of Tom Riker, The Maquis have become better equipped and form a serious threat to what the Federation is working for. It is unknown where they are getting their inventory from, but the Maquis are now well equipped to deal with almost any threat that faces them.
